Wow, that is a fruity Sangria.

But yup, 'tis a shame. The margarita fixins are going away for the season, too. Just like the Z4 in a few weeks.

yeah this time of year is bad for cars, I always have the itch to go buy an X3 or Subaru Outback about now.

That's the beauty of owning an X5 and a Z4. Best of both worlds.

My first BMW in the States was a very nice 530i. The first winter I owned it I had to drive up to our Chicago office the day after a storm. I was stuck in traffic and one of those freaking salt spreaders went by in the opposite direction and strafed the side of my gorgeous car with huge salt chunks. I hate Chicago in the winter.

Or not.
Good suggestion. Actually it's within a stop of being right. That's North of the setting sun and the sky was hazy and the mountain really only shadows. I upped the contrast to define the mountains a little more, but bring that area down a stop would have also been positive I think. If Getty ever asks for it I'll touch it up.

As of now, DxO is only global, not selective. Perhaps to keep up with Lightroom they'll add some selective tools soon. I've gotten to where I "hate" using PS.

Yep...MINI's getting ready for storage too.

Although, to make some things easier, I just bought a new Ford Edge as my winter beater.

No...but in a few years, I'll still have a rust free MINI. I doubt the salt will allow you to say the same

Your ride...even with snow shoes...would never make it out of my driveway.

Pirelli Sotto Zeros. Highly recommended for non-mountain use.

Three winters and no signs of rust. If you can't drive it, why buy it?

We have days like that too.

I don't see that Jeep goin' anywhere either.

Drop tops just don't cut it in snow. And it's not my driving that worries me. It's the idiots who drive the dozen or so cars I see in the ditches on every commute after a snowstorm.

Yep...it was 4' that day. I couldn't get anything through. I put ~15 to 20K a year on all three of my cars. I don't think driving them is an issue.

Each car serves a purpose...and the verts place when the flakes land, is in the garage. And I'm pretty hard core...I'll drive with the top down in 47 degree temps (46 is my limit though).

Absolutely, dcstep! Enjoy the car for driving...if it can drive in the stuff, do it!

I had a CRD Libby and (stupidly) high-sided myself on a rather large pile of firm, heavy snow thinking I was "Trail Rated invincible". Anything can get stuck in bad enough conditions...

Cheers
D.

p.s. Beautiful shot of the stars!!!

Ugh, I tried pumpkin brew once. Not my kind of swill.

Sweet bokeh, though. What are those lights?

Now this stuff is another story. Your post from a few weeks ago with a nice IPA sent me on the hunt for a good IPA from Friar Tuck's. This stuff is very good.

Honestly, I'm a bit underwhelmed with this one. Everything else I've had from Hoppin' Frog has been phenomenal, but this one is just meh.

I have a weird fascination with taking pictures of the beers/scotch that I'm drinking. The lights are just Christmas lights that I strung up about 5 feet behind the beer on the wall. The lagunitas IPA is pretty good. Have you had their Hop Stoopid?

Haha, yeah, give it a try if you see it. It's a bargain for the price. Nice and hoppy. 102 IBU 4 U (Printed on the label)
