"Previous top-end SUVs from performance brands, like the Lamborghini Urus and Aston Martin DBX, have attempted to weave elements of their brand's styling cues into an SUV that resembles a more traditional performance car. BMW has gone the other way entirely, instead using the Concept XM as an opportunity to showcase both its most extreme existing design concepts and its most ambitious future plans into one singular rolling laboratory, a monument to the number of features a single car's exterior can hold. Every kind of angle you can imagine is present, creating a front, back, and side view that are all separately unmistakable from every SUV that has ever come before."

I guess I'm one of the few that thinks this is f'ing awesome. Calling for an allocation now.

Someone mentioned looks like it was inspired by Halo but it takes me back 25 years to Quake II from Id Software. Curious what the pricing is. Guessing a bit of a premium over the X5/X6M?

I've had better luck with the lights off and on trick. Flashing makes people angry. Turning my lights on and off seems to make them think.

XM feedback. What garbage is this. It looks like the pig from angry birds.

Its probably a copy of Chevillon Emperor 620 Ragnar from Cyberpunk 2077, it has similar proportions and even headlights on the roof

This right here^

Don't do anything and their bland, playing it safe, Russian Doll lineup

Try anything different (truly different) and they're crucified.

Isn't it tiring to continually shit on something and then see it in person and have it "grow" on you? How many bimmers have done exactly that in your lifetime of being a "fan"…

It might as well be the bimmer way at this point.

Except my 12 year old laughed at all the pictures, and thinks it is hideous. So if they are designing this for young people, they aren't doing well there either.

After looking at this one could ask many questions but there is really only one that is pertinent here.

What kind of rolling bullshit is this?

For price I'm guessing minimally $160k base and probably more.

As the "flagship" so it will exceed the $130k M8C price. Recall BMW dropped the price of that car by cutting out the non-competition model.

$160k is right at base G63 and high trim new Range Rover price. I can't see them undercutting those.

Compared to the $120k X6MC figure at least +$20k for the new power train and +$20k for the luxury/size upgrade.

As an aside, it's unfortunate these heavy super hybrids are being sold at a premium to us when it's only being offered because the manufactures are chasing fleet efficiency that most consumers aren't requesting (see: Turbo S E Hybrid, AMG E-Performance). It'd be more palletable if these power trains were priced closer to their V-8 siblings.

With this being a concept we don't have much insight into the options and features. Nonetheless…

An illuminated grill will probably be really loud like we see here. Some form of illuminated headliner is a safe bet but I imagine it will be closer to the speckled look.

I was expecting suicide doors to draw it closer to the Cullinan. But if the concept doesn't have it then the production probably won't.

The seating room looks impressive and I think they would offer a four person seating option. The front seats ought to be at least as done up as the M8C non-buckets.

Dual paint options seem like a strong possibility. Those should help to distract from all the other "intricacies".

We're probably looking at the production controls and center stack.

All the competing products have some form of suspension package.

CCB—has BMW ever offered them for an SUV?

YES, finally someone said it, this looks x10000 better then the IX, it's not beautiful in annnnnyway way and doesn't look BMW at ALLL but they have made this design language that started with the g22 4 series work. I think (and hope) that just like the g42 2 series, it grows on people and the other models normalize it. I most of all hope that the next gen G70 7 series looks good with this design language, cause it will most likely look like a sedan version of this. Cant wait for 7 series renders now
Yessir. I recall speaking with a sales adviser in Los Angeles almost 3 years ago BEFORE the M3 enormous grills were going to be revealed and as I recall we discussed the desensitization process is gradual. The haters will not only come around but they'll champion the latest greatest in-time. Guaranteed.

This outrage culture is invading everything and it's disgusting.
Every time something new comes in, everybody's outraged by something.

Anyway, this car looks very cool, aggressive and fresh. Definitely has the potential to be the king of its segment.
