Just out of curiosity, how would it work if we were to go outside of ON to purchase a car, would be great to avoid the damn PST Tax.

If you notice the American thread on this issue, it is packed full of information regarding the price of thier vehicles! This way, it creates competition, and if anything, the dealer should and would be thanking you for all the extra business you bring them!

My .02 cents

The E90 lease rates have dropped to 4.9%, but the E92 lease rates have increased to a whopping 7.75%? And to make matters worse, they dropped the residual a point too! I was hoping the numbers would get better as I approach my delivery date, but they look much worse!

Can anyone confirm these lease numbers, or is the bmw.ca website incorrect?

I have a signed deal, put I wouldn't put it past them to not honour it. They did it to me before and claimed that what I signed was an "offer" and not an actual "deal".

If they don't honour it, I will honestly walk away from BMW forever. This will be my third car from them, but only if they agree to the original deal.

I am PRAYING that there isn't some stupid rule like my sales associate had to re-submit my applciation to lock in the low rate every month or something like that.

i dont see how they can do that... you got the contract, everything is in there, price, your signature, your sales guy signature, and sales manager signature, how can they change that?

I hope that they honour the deal. But with my Z4, they told me the day that I picked up the car that they couldn't honour the lease conditions that they wrote on the offer, since it is not available through BMWFS (they had put the wrong term). So I had to take what they gave me, since if I didn't, I was without a car (I had just sold my other car a couple of days prior).

I just checked the back of my contract, it doesn't say anything about if rate goes up you will pay more.... only thing it says is:

6. Payment od additional and increased taxes. if any federal or provincial taxes relating to the vehicle of my purchase of the vehicle under this agreement are increased after the date of this agreement and prior to the taking delivery of the vehicle, I will pay you the amount of the increased taxes at the time of delivery.

but I don't see how that can relate to residual or rate %...

f@ck, you right... on the main page it says under lessee's acceptance.. "I also understand that the prices quoted may change due to changes in interest rates and residual values from date of contract" ...

you can't avoid the PST by buying out of Province, the DMV makes you pay the PST when you register the car. Just make sure when you buy in another province, that you don't pay their PST too.

I just ordered my 335i coupe and after a lot of bargaining I ended up getting $2450 off the msrp. Not a bad deal but I still hate the high lease rate.

pbough,

So you got it at Grand Touring? I was told not to buy there, but I guess you had a good experience? Any pressure? Have you had service there yet?

Anyone here looking at ordering an 07 or pre-ordering an 08 in/around the GTA?

If we approach a dealership together, I'm sure we can push for a 4% discount on both purchases.

Let me know via PM or on here.

I received 2k off in Calgary. They matched the discount given in Edmonton that was posted earlier on this thread.

  • $0 Frieght
  • $0 PDI
  • $1000 discount off the price of the car
  • kicked in a free jacket ($220)

I was pleased plus when I went in to pick up the car they told me that my finance rate had changed (from 5.9 down to 4.9%). Think about it, you go into to pick up the car of your dreams (our @ least one of the cars in your dreams) and they tell you your payment has done down as well.
