X2. That’s what I bought my X7M50i for. I travel with a family of 4 and wanted the extra room and higher luxury experience than my last X5. I could just make the G05 X5 cargo space work on my family’s cross country traveling for a few weeks. Another irritant of the X5 was the rear seats didn’t recline at all on the X5. Now I don’t have to think about luggage space and my family’s luggage travels like an aristocrat with their own climate zone and personal sun roof.

Our 3rd row is down 99% of the time. We only plan on using it if we're in a jam and need it. We prefer the extra room in the trunk. Strollers take up a ton of room. Even those compact strollers when traveling with luggage it doesn't leave you with much room.

My oldest is just short of 5'8". He has plenty of room in the X7. We had a loaner X5 for a week and he found the back to be quite a bit tighter than the X7. (spoiled kids).

Agree to all. Sadly my boys are still in booster seats and they found the X5 back to tight and didn't like the fact they couldn't recline in the back. So we went with X7 captains chairs. Absolutely no regrets over the X5.

Small Spare- Forget about it. That's what runflats and roadside assistance are for. If you're doing some serious driving in remote locations, put a spare on the roof or carry it as if its another piece of luggage on the fraction of time it's a necessity. Golf Clubs- No problem with the 3rd Row in the closed position. You can get 4 sets in there if you need to. 3rd Row- It's a great feature to have. We only use it, maybe 20 days a year but on those 20 days its great. Whenever there is a grandparent or a carpool that requires it you appreciate it. When not in use, its like its not even there. And the seatbacks are very thin, so if you want more space than just the rear area provides you can put the 3rd Row seats up and then store stuff around them, to the floor, etc. |
