Coolant overflowing by the coolant tank cap

Hello everyone!

I need help! I have cooling problem since last summer. It started with a broken water pump and cracked oil filter housing where coolant and oil were mixing together. I had everything repaired and all the cooling system cleaned but since then, coolant is overflowing from the tank cap.

In fact, it so overflowing that I have to refill it every 50 miles or so... I lastly replaced the thermostat thinking it may be a "boiling" coolant problem as I hear it bubbling in the coolant tank. Doesn't change anything.

The fan seems to work fine...

I don't know where to look anymore. Any clue ?

Thanks!

Perhaps replace the cap?

Hi mate not sure what car you have but BMW are currently recalling cars for EGR coolant problems. It may be worth just seeing if your car is suitable for an inspection (might not be related to your issue) but worth another set of eyes
