Buddy, you can do it! Seriously! Pick up a cheapy and go to town. I have no doubt!!! I still suck in the real world, but it sounds good to Mrs Hubba, surely the same for you! I am 14 months in, weekly lessons do wonders. Honestly, I am leaps and bounds from where I was a year ago. You can do it too!

I'll be 68 next year, and I've tried many times. I'm good at a lot of things, just not that. It's okay, we can't be good at everything. I will live vicariously through you.

I'm working my way through various early-60s female pop this evening and just listened to You Don't Own Me by Lesley Gore. I have no idea how this material plays today; but, having grown up with it, I still like to check it out from time to time. It didn't hurt that at the very beginning of Gore's career, when she was still a teenager, there were writers who could match material to her strengths and abilities, and, more importantly, perhaps, her producer in those early years was Quincy Jones.
