When I picked up my car I asked the dealer if they were available. I was told that the M Sport mudflaps were not yet produced. It's been a few weeks now but I got the impression that they weren't in a hurry to get them out on the market.

I think I'd tend to agree, don't think they'd do much aesthetically. Bit like those front window wind deflectors you see on taxis

I think my local filling station had some on sale, they were on the shelf in between the fur lined steering wheel covers and the door guard/rubber trims with the orange reflectors.

I don't mind them tbh. So long as they're not the faux RAC rally ones you see on Scoobys.
They never made them available for the LCI E91 M Sport so I doubt they'll do them for the F31 M Sport. And if anyone is thinking that it may keep the back end a bit cleaner then the consensus over on E90Post was that it won't. |

Strange they provide them for the other F30/31 series cars. |

I'm with the OP and always fit mudflaps where available. They help keep stone chips on the side of the car at bay and offer a decent level of protection.

Am also looking for some for my M Sport Touring. Had them on my old E91 & thought they were great.
For sale. BMW 330D M Sport 2007 (57) £8,500 by kevaruka, on Flickr

to the O.P. I can categorically assure you that the BMW mudflaps will fit a M Sport F30 or F31. I fitted them myself to my F31.
I like them & I couldn't give the proverbial "flying f***" what anyone else thinks. If you want to fit 'em then fit 'em, I say... they do help reduce the muck flying about. Fitting time .. about 15 minutes apiece... I posted a thread with piccies some months ago to show others. It's easy & you do NOT have to remove the wheels. (Or rather I didn't on my 328i.) see my post 8th Jan 2014 or do a forum search on mud flaps.... |
