Dropped a bolt.
Dropped the circled bolt into the hole that connects to the cavity between the kidneys ... will this bolt dislodge itself? Should I be worried about it making way to the moving parts of the engine? Fell in during reassembly after spark plug change.

I lost a 10mm socket behind the motor when changing valve cover gaskets and an air filter cover screw in front of the air box when cleaning the filter. Neither were visible and I did not take apart stuff looking. It just was not worthwhile. If I dropped a screwdriver into the accessory belt drive or an nut down an empty spark plug hole or a greasy rag onto the headers, I would definitely get it.

Not that you're planning to let the car sit just for a bolt but if you know where it fell there's Amazon and there's prime on this type of tool

The thing that concerns me about dropping hardware into motors is it might come out and into a tire. Yours or anyone else's. I retrieve anything that I drop..

I dropped a 1/4" 10 mm deep socket in the engine bay. I wasn't concerned about causing any damage, but didn't want to buy a new one. I found (and retrieved) it on top of the front suspension sub frame with this cheap borescope.
