Battlefield 3: Weapon Favorites
So.. been playing BF3 while on winter break. enjoying certain kits and gameplay type or habits. Let's share what kits we love using and why and the strategies that we use that help us get experience points and win the game. we all have our own habits.. so expose us to them and maybe we can learn to enjoy the game in different ways.
Ill set up a sample template to make it easy to read (dont want to bore anyone with a long paragraph)... PLAYER INFO: WEAPONS/KITS: WHAT I ENJOY DOING: PLAYER INFO: Gearcraft PC WEAPONS/KITS: Engineer Class G36C- Holo makes for quick taget aquisition, Foregrip adds stability, Laser adds accuracy Any Sidearm with tactical lights to blind enemy (somewhat works) Javelin (especially when recon team mates know how to SOFLAM) Mines (i have six of them and i mine choke points with 3 mines to cover the whole road) Explosive Package (extra mines, rockets, javelins) Support class UMP 45- Holo for quick targeting, Laser, Suppressor (seems easy to control and I can just empty it out and get a kill... very light and easy to move around with it too) Same sidearm with tac lights Claymore Explosives pack for additional claymore Assault class (usually just on rush modes) Any M4 variation with holo, laser, and foregrip Same sidearm Defibrillator sometimes flak and sometimes cover depending on game type Recon class .. not really played enough.. i suck at sniping WHAT I ENJOY DOING: Leaving mines at narrow roads toward flags and base exits (3 of them to cover the whole road so they all explode at the same time for sure kill... many kills depending on how many players inside) Javelin vehicles especially tiny jeeps coz they rarely escape it and you get the points for anyone who doesnt jump off when the javelin hits. same case with little birds. when little birds fly low its easy to shoot the pilots and anyone inside at caspian border flag D hilltop i leave claymores on narrow ways between rocks where enemies climb up then i switch back to engineer to hunt down tanks and lay down mines. free kills with people who dont watch out for claymores run around from cover to cover finding unattentive players to knife for their free dogtags (usually snipers and machine gunners) racking up points of supply and revive playing metro (only occasionally as i enjoy free roaming maps like kharg and caspian) B2K maps have so many flanking routes that i enjoy hunting spotted enemies in non-hardcore modes i have my laser and tac lights off when i run and double bind them to the zoom key which is my RMB so they turn on when i zoom... i dont go out of my way to fly... i suck at it... im almost rank 30 and my jet score is still zero... lol any tips not to get locked on to too easily? anyone play with a joystick? share us your wisdom BF3 people... let's have fun.

do it. if you want to level up fast play support or medic in metro. also don't forget to go to customize and equip all your unlocks whenever you unlock an accessory.

For me:
Recon (preferred class) M98B with 12x scope and straight pull bolt, suppression perk, a G18, and either MAV or SOFLAM depending on the style game and map. Assault (2nd fav) M416 with either PKA-S HOLO or IRNV, foregrip, and extended barrel. Again a G18 for sidearm, either suppression or speed perk depending on map/mode. Oh, and my trusty M320! Engineer A-91 with PKA-S or IRNV, foregrip, and laser sight (sometimes the G53 with the same parts), G18, and explosion perk so I have more ammo for RPG. Support (only for small maps) USAS-12 with IRNV and tac light, claymores, and either explosion or speed perk. Again a G18 as a sidearm is a must for me. I'm currently trying to unlock the MK3A1 to replace the USAS. I enjoy using recon 90% of the time (depending on what the squad needs). I usually run around quite a bit, but always try to keep some distance between me and the targets, to easily pick off people with the 12x scope. I never sit still in one place, unless I am spotting people with the MAV. With the assault class, I do a lot of flanking. With the engineer class, I primarily use the RPG/SMAW to destroy vehicles/buildings/walls. With the support class, I run around like a chicken with its head cut off shooting at anything that moves, lol. |

pretty much only played recon. I pretty much suck and feel great if i get 6 plus kills. Only level 7 and waiting to unlock the 12x scope. My favorite thing is to get on a choper and bail to get on a roof where no one else can get to and snipe away.

lmao +1 My assault setup: Usually an AEK or G3, but right now im focusing on getting unlocks on my AS VAL and An-94 Engineer: Got all unlocks for this class, i use the sg553, absolutely love it. Also have the javelin that i use with this and use the repair tool. For support: I'm trying to unlock items for the mg36, love using this weapon. After this i might use the m60 and see what i like better. I also keep claymore on me at all times Recon: Currently trying to get unlocks for the L96, might switch back to the m98b or the m39 depending what i like better. Sidearm for all classes, .44 magnum SCOPED My tag is TimZ92 feel free to add me |

if you have the chance try g36c with the large square-ish holo, foregrip, and laser. super quick and has enough ammo to end an enemy or two. easy to move around with too. not too heavy and easy to control.

PLAYER INFO: Sylon08 (PS3)
WEAPONS/KITS: Engineer: M4A1, Reflex RDS, Foregrip, Suppressor M9 SMAW, RPG, Stinger or IGLA Repair tool EXPL Recon (Long Range): M40A5, 12x ballistic scope, bipod M1911 Tact. MAV Radio Beacon AMMO Recon (CQB): M40A5, no optics (haven't unlocked the RDS yet), straight bolt M1911 Tact. T-UGS Radio Beacon AMMO WHAT I ENJOY DOING: With my Engineer class, I try to take out as many vehicles as possible. Depending on the map, I'll use either the free-fire launchers or the Anti-air ones. For my recon long range, its just that, long range sniping and spotting. For my Recon CQB class, its for more close-range combat. That M40 is almost a 1-shot kill at close range, and I've gotten pretty decent at it. I need to start using the other classes to help rank up a bit more. But I can't help using the classes I'm good at. |

also, if you need to unlock some assignments at karkand unlock it with a friend in an empty server. kinda cheating but not really. it really helps if you cant score as much playing with higher ranking players.
