Damn, I was waiting until 2017 to buy the 14/f2.8, but your price is too tempting. I'll look into moving some money around on Monday and send you a PM to either confirm or call it off.

In the mean time, have you got a link to any images you've taken with it?

Dave

Have you tried DxO's FilmPack? I really like its B&W emulations. I use some Rollie and Illford emulations that I think a superb. (I also do my Raw conversion in DxO Optics Pro 11). They have color emulations, but I'm not into that, so I played around with it a few years ago then never used that function again.

Here's an album of my B&W conversions using FilmPack:

Isakhov- the 24-70 is 2 years old, the 14 is 4 years old; but both have been babied and sitting on my shelf. Let me find some pics. It's probably my favorite lens for canon (the 14)..taking wide shots without warping. The 24-70 is the new version (II)

Dave-definitely have to try this out, I've been manually adjusting images adding smudges of grain and altering the color palettes luminance/hue/saturation etc

Thanks for looking for pix. I borrowed one from CPS and was blown away by the IQ and lack of distortion. Don't worry about subject, but I like to see something uncropped so I can inspect closely. (I've heard that a very few examples have some issues).

Since you just made a processor switch, you may want to throw DxO into the mix, including FilmPack, via their 30-day free trial. You can emulate a film and then customize it with things like added grain and huge changes in contrast and color palette. DxO's PRIME noise reduction is incredible also.

Don't tempt me again

I can vouch for the OP. I've bought two cameras from him before (5D Mark II and a 5D Mark III) and they both seriously looked like they had never been used before. He takes REALLY good care of his photography equipment.

I bought the EF 14mm f/2.8L II. Great seller and great transaction. Paid on Monday, received on Thursday. The lens is absolutely "as new" and performs as expected, like the one that I borrowed from CPS.

I ran out to shoot it, but it was overcast and threatening rain, so my subjects ended up being just test shots. On a 5DsR, 14mm is "ultra-wide", yet, look at the fence piece near the bottom of the image. It's shows almost no barrel distortion. I also tried the excellent 11-24/f4, but it was too bulky for me to carry in my vest all the time. It has similar IQ, which is amazing for a zoom, but it didn't make sense in my application. (Don't let the horizon bother too much. There's a hill going down to the right and a conflicting distant horizon, yet I've probably should have rotated a degree or two clockwise, but I didn't want to crop a test image).

I think the OP accidentally sold me a brand new lens...

Just received it, thanks a million! Very first shot, since the dog was right there when FedEx arrived.

Fair ask, there you go with some indoor shots since weather sucks outside. Normally I would have used 70-200 but 24-70 works as well
