Yeah just read that too.
Not that succesful this year, but that's mainly due to the car. He has more points than his teammate Stroll: almost 4 times as much points despite missing 2 races and 1 retire, so given an better car I'm sure he still could be up there with the best. For sure one of the greatest F1 drivers. Time for him to spend his fortune earned with racing BTW, one of Vettel's greatest moves ever: But not much liked when he was so dominant in his Red Bull era 10 years ago.

Seb went from villain (arrogant, reckless) to the most beloved driver.
A great champ and we will never forget his legendary first GP win.

Sucks he never won one with Ferrari, he had a competitive car in 18, just mentally broke down mid season.
Hopefully we’ll still see him around on race weekends. And this gives an open slot to a young driver to showcase themselves. |

Vettle says he has not considered any other racing series but at 33 I'd be surprised if he doesn't show up in DTM or the WEC series some day.

If Mercedes would bet on Nyck de Vries (The Netherlands) (27 years) to replace Hamilton in 2024 (or 2023 if he quits earlier), it will regret to have missed the chance to get the younger and more talented Piastri inside their car (Toto Wolff has already stated that he wouldn’t prevent de Vries taking up an F1 opportunity outside the Mercedes family; read: he won't be missed).

Out of the blue SV started mentioning a doomsday scenario if F1 continues the way it is, should be all EV's when there is an EV series already, someone has got to him to make him spout this nonsense.

I will always respect Seb but M5Rick is spot on. His entire personality after 2013 was being a Lewis-stan even though Lewis used to rip into him during interviews all the time. There's nothing wrong with being a good person but when your entire personality is "activism," you become annoying - especially when there's a new cause every week.
Regardless, his skill/legacy in F1 deserves respect. |

^^ I'm guessing the next stop for SV will be as an activist in a 'just stop oil' group with his way of thinking, the same ones that are clambering on motorway gantries with placards causing delays to motorists and workers, blocking fuel stations and lying down on roads holding up emergency services until they are dragged off by police or members of public.
