Love the colors on the peppers on that red tray. Maybe a graduated filter on the Lawrys garlic salt to kill the color down.
The shrimp is great, just about perfect I'd say.
Everyone loves a farm, just don't love owning them. I hope they are not in the lowlands.

It's very photogenic and the people are great, friendly and easy going. (It helps that my oldest daughter married a Cajun, and I've attended a coupld of wakes there, so I'm adopted Cajun). New Orleans is wild and zany, but full of great restaurants and great sights. We stopped at an Exxon station in Ville Platte to pick up the best Boudain sausage you've ever had.

The Sugar Bowl is one of the biggest parties in the world, only short of Mardi Gras and Carnival. If a team that you like ever plays at the Sugar Bowl, I highly recommend attending.

Wildlife is everywhere. Hence, its nickname, "Sportsman's Paradise".

But really flat, the highest point in the state is 550'.
In Arizona, I started to get nervous because I couldn't see any mountains. Felt like I was going to roll off the edge of the earth.

lol I only clipped the north end of arizona and it was pretty covered in features Didn`t make it to the south end which i think is unfortunate.

Sooo many places left to explore.

I might try to get to Alaska at the end of the summer, we`ll see how things go...

Thanks for your concern. We passed over lowlands under water on highway 190. The area around Ville Platte, Washington and Grand Prairie was high and dry. Wildlife such as boars, deer, coons and possum seeking high ground are creating hazardess driving conditions.

Yeah, farms are a lot of work. The owner of this one had a regular job and is now retired. They've owned the farm for decades and keep the operations at a low scale.

i think half the fun of Louisiana looks like it`s in the food I wouldn`t mind going for mardi gras or carnival though, but may be a little too crowded for my liking.

you can't truly be "afraid of heights" if you can get on the top of a measily 6' ladder.

Yeah I spotted it immediately. If you are gonna try for some PP DOF effects in a shot...make sure you keep the foreground area in at least partial focus, that way it still looks "real"
Look at this picture I did with fake DOF...I have had this picture up for a while but nobody has noticed...I even posted it on my FB and asked people to tell the difference and nobody guessed:

Ok that is better but when you get to the line of demarcation between the blur you are using and the in focus section you need to gradually decrease the amount of blur so that it looks natural.
