our starter is 16-5 including playoffs the last 2 seasons. our backups are 2-11...

Romo finally had a good OLine, good running attack and an average defense 2 seasons ago and finished the season 12-3 and had a playoff win. All hes needed is a team that doesnt completely suck.

really, id say just about every team would be done if their starter went down. Theres a reason teams like the Rams are starting Case Keenum, the 49ers rolling with Chase Daniels and the Browns havent had a QB for decades. Just not enough starting caliber QBs to go around.

A good amount of backups did well, now granted it was only the first game, preseason games at best. However, Nassib was the worst of the bunch.

That's not true at all. Owners and fans want qbs to be starters right away. They don't learn anymore. That's the problem.

I know it's only preseason, but Dak Fucking Prescott. Dude looks like he will be legit. Finally a solid backup to Romo and the QB of the future.

Agreed. I really like his game and also for the Seahawks, Boykins can be pretty solid. Bryce Petty looked good yesterday too.

Absolutely!

I don't give a sh** what NOBODY says... Dak is fully prepared to play in this league!!!

Scramble? Check.
Can also score with his feet? Check.

What's amazing is he is far and above out performing all QBs taken before him! Dallas and Steven Jones showing great decision making in the drafts.

Scary moment for Romo and Cowboys Nation for sure. But very encouraging to hear and see he wanted to come right back in.
Dak Prescott continues to shine and demonstrate that he is the best QB in his Draft class.
But my eyes were zeroed in on Zeke Elliott. And boy be did not disappoint! Looking like he did in Ohio State: Running over and through fools! He absolutely Clowned on Seahawks first team defense. Particularly 4 time Pro Bowler, Kam Chancellor.
He and Alfred Morris are gonna be "potent!"

It doesn't matter what the conditions were, the young man demonstrated solid skills against the # 1 run stop defense in the league. Seattle wasn't going easy on him due to preseason. lmfao!

Nah man, it's comments like yours that label cowboy fans delusional/annoying. Do I hate the cowboys? Not at all, as a kid- I loved emit, Troy and Irvin. Do I find cowboy fans annoying as hell? Only laker fans rival you all.

Week 3 is the "dress rehearsal " of the preseason. Meaning if any of them "count" it would be this one. So yes, they played them tough, but they'd be dumb to play all out as if it were a real game. Not to mention there was zero tape on him, meaning- this was the first time ANY defense got a look at him in a Cowboys uniform. He's going to be a great back, but wait until a little further into the season to get your drawers so wet.

And guess what? You guys lost. That's what matters, wins and losses right? Right.

sure look like Kam squared up to rock him a couple times.

The way he ran was more what cowboys fans were happy with, not the amount of yards or anything like that. He showed some good vision and toughness and laid some good hits on guys. had a similar style to murray, which was a beast for us, in that he kept fighting for yards after every hit.

Like I said, he'll be a great back if he stays healthy. What is Kam supposed to knock out every guy every time? Zeke is a big dude and a good back- he wouldn't be drafted so high if he didn't show potential to play well in the league.

But I mean, hey- my mistake. With Dak and Zeke/ let's coronate the Cowboys as preseason super mega champions of the universe, k? Don't forget this is the ultimate team sport. How many times has a great offense with a weak defense (congrats, you guys have one of those this year :/ )been beat when it counts? What's that saying.....

Defense wins championships? Cowboys haven't won anything since I was like 5!
