Help identifying thief (plate number etc)

Hi all,

Im in the construction industry and yesterday around 6:30pm we got a call from the neighboring building saying that they have pictures of a van who pulled up to our job site, knocked down some fence, and started to steal some tools/materials. They were able to take some pictures (below) but the plate came out blurry. Anyone able to figure out the plate? I believe its BTZE 521. Also does anyone know the make and model of this van? any help would be really really appreciate!!!!

We would like a little more information before reporting to the police, make and model of the vehicle as well as license plate would be perfect

You look to be right with the plate, at least to me.

Just tell the police that, they can look it up in the DMV register and see if it matches the vehicle make/model. If you have it mostly right, which I think you do, they'll figure the rest out.

Agreed, that's an early Chevy Venture - we had one long time ago...could even be a '99.

I think your plate is right, though the E might be an F...hard to tell. Second pic makes it look like an E - I'd think you are right.

BTZF-521 or BTZE-521. Blur makes the 4th hard to tell, but judging by the second pic it looks like an E.

The amount of information you collected is more than enough to catch them, unless the plate was stolen and swapped.

The way databases are setup these days, you can do a query on partial key words and numbers with other variables.

So knowing that it's a tan, chevy, van with certain numbers on the plate at certain positions (slots) will narrow it down immediately. The police has access to the database.
