2019 NFL football thread!
Unless you're team is participating in a conference championship this weekend, it's time to start speculating about 2019.....
I'll start. I think the Cowboys made a great move in getting rid of Linehan. But who knows who will replace him. https://es.pn/2U05gEd https://apnews.com/876cb9bbcf3c49bb878aa9fc90f04ce6 Linehan out as Cowboys offensive coordinator after 5 seasons |

Theyve been talking Kellen Moore is a candidate for OC.
Not sure how I feel about that. On one hand, anyone is better than Linehan, on the other, its a QB who while he had a high football IQ, was not good enough to be anything other than a Cowboys backup and is rising up the coaching ranks..... Now where have I heard that before?

Cut Alford and reed, and extend Beasley for cheaper than his current 5th year option because that bum ain't worth 12 mil a year. That should put us half way decent in the cap to extend Grady and Julio. |

Like I say every year, this will be the year of the Jets! I am bound to get it right sooner or later.

The Eagles will be back with a healthy Carson Wentz and an addition at running back?...(L.Bell from Pittsburgh?) I'm expecting the Eagles to be back at or near the top of the NFC in 2019.

And now there are reports that Wentz isnt a team player and plays favorites in the offense, while refusing to run what he thinks are "Foles Plays". Giants and Redskins have a better shot at winning the division before the Eagles.

I don't know who the new Cowboys offense of coordinators going to be, if he's good the cowboys go 12-4, if he's not so good the cowboys go 8-8.

I wouldn't mind letting Coleman (hate to see him go) walk and even cutting freeman if it's financially possible if we draft someone like Jacobs from Bama or holifield from UGA and rolling with either and Ito Smith. I'd keep Beasley for 5-6 mil but definitely not 12. |

A very interesting article.
https://apple.news/AKqvCrxDtSL2ZK0D9tbAplg Kellen Moore was the ringleader of 50 wins at Boise State, but can he bring complexity to the Cowboys? |

he was a shanked FG away from being a heisman candidate. and he was making a lot of the right reads and throws the few times he played, just didnt have the arm talent to cash in on what his brain was telling him to do. the more i look into moore, the more i think he might not be a bad OC. Just think he might need more than a season or 2 as a qb coach to get the feel for coaching and everything that comes with it. If garrett/jones can surround him with staff to help him with day to day coaching, which lets him work his magic more on calling plays and scheming, i think he can be successful.

Romo for OC. Dead serious.
Hell maybe even DC. Put him up in the booth. He reads offenses far too well to just be an analyst. |
