Goaltenders To Have A New Protectors In NHL

I have read at various sources that NHL's goaltenders to be equipped with a fancy brand new chest protector and even some of them gave them a shot among which was Carey Price . It should be a priceless experience for him as well
However, it seems the protectors used in previous seasons seem to offer more protection versus those new ones
I don't know what you would say on this one but it's just pointless if those so called protectors would fail or fail to fulfill the requirements .Every branch of sport aim to lessen the injuries but if a brand new equipment likely to invite more goaltender injuries then what's the point ?
