Damn you can't even get cornering lights, and wireless charging in a 3 series?!

Glad I ordered back in December.

It's obviously a mistake since the X4 M40i and X4M difference is $11k

Great info thanks.

Also I was confused about some of it but thankfully the 1st person to reply quoted the whole thing again.

Confused. Is wireless charging gone on all those models where it is removed as standard equipment or is it still an option that can be ordered a la carte or in a package? It would be insane to completely remove that unless there is some supply chain problem. Still can't get night vision in anything. Ugghhh

That's what I was thinking. Its sort of janky in the M3 anyway, but at least it was there.

Me and my wife both use it all the time in our new X5M's. the pad also is where you must put the keycard in or your phone on to start it without the key. Wireless charging in 2021/2 doesn't seem like something you should be punting.

I'm pretty sure BMW pulled the plug on it. It was a disaster on the X3's.

I use it all the time in my M2 and X7 and wouldn't want to live without it. My kids are growing out of the M2, and M3 was on the short list for replacement. Removal is disappointing, but what's janky about it?

I can't confirm, but I've read here that when using wireless Android Auto with wireless charging, your phone turns into a hot plate, and the charging action and wireless AA working simultaneously causes close to a a net zero charging action. Like I said, I can't confirm, and this may have been fixed already.

BMW's wireless charger mostly just heats up the phone and only charges very slowly. There are many threads on here about it.

Not sure if they're discontinuing it due to the poor performance or COVID supply-chain issues, but either way you're not missing anything in its current form.

Hopefully they find a better version post-COVID.

What's the point of buying a luxury brand if they remove all of the luxury!

Wireless charger in my G80 just heats up my phone and actually shut it down for a while due to temp warning. Not a big loss if they were to eliminate, at least the current version.
