Oh the joys of dating hot girls. Good times. Too bad I never learn and am stubborn in what I like in a girl.

Yea - she's hot.

So, if using the hot/crazy chart, her hotness will skew the acceptable level of crazy way beyond any normal man's tolerance!

You're weekly average will be right there with mine or even higher i think.

Interested to see how you're affected by the additional work.

I agree with not adding more protein supplement. Maybe just a normal amount through the extra 150 - 200 call intake you should have. Was that what you were planning on taking in as extra? For the cardio stuff, i would think an additional 100 cal of carb heavy food would be good pre or post mooring workout. Keep the brain in good function for the day.

Thanks man...I've been doing some upper body stuff with machines but it's not the same. Form is all jacked up so can't go very heavy without potentially busting something. All about reps. So hard to get a good pump.

You should see me weigh myself. Since I can only put weight on 1 leg, I have to balance on 1 foot. There's a process. Yup, it's accurate, my wife did the control (2 feet) and experiment test (1 foot).

Yeah, me too. I usually walk around the corporate district here (it's built like a giant circle, you see all the fat execs with their New Balances on and unbuttoned shirts on the lunch hour ), but I may refrain given the dual intensities at each end of the day. Post workout I have a BPI Best Protein bar and an Oikos Triple Zero, and that's all I eat until around 12PM (lunch); the morning sessions are approx. 8:30-9AM.

But it's crazy, I meant to tell you that I actually had a couple of chocolate chip cookies and half a glass of 2% milk within 15 minutes of taking my creatine/beta-alanine/caffeine blend and it REALLY changed my fatigue ceiling and stores for endurance during the P90 HIIT. It helps that I do the same routines often so I can channel differences, it was nuts! But I had found research that showed a specific (not overindulgence) macronutrient balance of carbs pre-workout can actually provide a balance for more effectiveness!

Never underestimate the machines, man! They are actually superior to free weights in lots of regards, mainly safety, especially during a rehabilitation period. Lat pull downs, chest press, cable crossovers...very versatile.

And you should join the circus, with that balance..heh.

Omg! What is it with old dudes and New Balance?

I'm Nike/Jordan's for life. Got some "fashion" kicks but at gym usually roll Nike wrestling or cross training sneakers or Jordan's.

You know any good regimens with machines? I'm
Caveman and try to do similar workout as freeweights and it's not the same.

I dunno man! Haha, I'm a Nike Free/Roshe Run kind of guy, but I need flat shoes for the free weight routines, since you want more planting and less incline. But I'm not 1MOREMOD yet.

Well the gym I've begun to use at work is a combination chest press, assisted pull up, lat pull down, cable cross, and leg curl all in one massive transformer looking machine LOL (pull up handle bars adorn the top of it like money bars). Weights max out at 112 for it which is reasonable, given that it's a machine in an office building, and more than enough weight to get some good reps in a superset.

Honestly, the only thing I would say is to switch your grips between parallel and wide/reverse switch for the lat/chest machines, and moderate your reps to 3 sets of 5. Might not be a good idea to train to failure at this stage since you are recovering, so just do what is manageable for you to hit the numbers.

So are you saying the cookies resulted in a positive effect or negative?

I'm just now starting to experiment with different types and quantities of food eaten pre, during and post workout. I used to just head out of work and go ride for 20-30 miles without eating anything after lunch. Then just have dinner. Then i started eating lunch about 30 min earlier and having a Quest bar about 1 hour before riding. 20g of protein and 14g of fiber is not optimal for a 90 -120 min cardio session. Realizing this, i started eating about 200 cal of carbs about 30 min before my ride and 150 - 175 during my ride with 20g of protein muscle milk after the ride, then dinner.

Today i'm having a blueberry scone pre ride, honey stinger strawberry waffle during and a new Suja drink with 10g of protein after, then dinner. I should burn about 1200 cal tonight and the list above works out to 620 cal consumed. I'm trying to only consume about 50% to 60% of my exercise calories and as the intensity increases, most of that should come from work out fuel rather than indulgence.

In the skateboard days, i'd go through a few pairs of Chucks every month. Good times!

The only pair i have now were purchased for an 80s theme party.
