My fellow Texans
A friend of mine has been working with myplates.com to get a Euro plate approved. He's been at it a year, and even though they're not amenable to changing the regular plate dimension, they are amenable to releasing a plate that is as basic as they come. His words:
"People have dreamed of a clean, simple European-style license plate design for a looong time. After a year of relentless effort, I was able to convince MyPlates.com to consider one — but, we need to show them there is demand for it. Please help me spread the word through any car forums, facebook, insta, email lists, etc All they need to do is vote here (it literally takes 5 seconds): https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MFHGBYK " So, if you'd be so kind as take the survey and help get this done, it would be appreciated. Feel free to link this to any other vehicle forums of which you're a member. TIA |

As a European, what's your definition of a "Euro plate"? Texas has a fantastic variety of plates to choose from. I am racking my brain thinking of a European country with better plates.

Looks a lot like the Oklahoma personalized tag... although I think mine is grey instead of white.

Plus to mention that the size values of European number plates are not compatible with your US style, what means that you have to change your holders too. If its my choose, I would definitely head for your size, individual letters and digits, this isnt (until yet) foreseen for European plates.

It just doesn't seem that different that our current plate. Just drops the star, the little outline of the state and the slogan? Most of that's covered by dealer plate frames anyway.
The "classic" at least harks back to the original plates. |

The (no doubt unintended) symbolism of this is cracking me up (Texas = white, square, plain). I guess NYS must be about to get a rainbow snowflake patterned one .
