Excluding anything from the Beatles, my ever changing list of the moment would be in no particular order:

Kansas - Lamplight Symphony
Led Zeppelin - Achilles Last Stand
Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter
Blue Rodeo - 5 Days in May

Hope this is okay, Llarry, but I've narrowed it down to favorite 5 American pieces and favorite 5 English, in no particular order:

American
Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo Child (Slight Return)
Crosby, Stills & Nash - Suite: Judy Blue Eyes
Steve Miller Band - Jet Airliner
The Eagles - Hotel California
Joe Walsh - Rocky Mountain Way

English
The Beatles - Come Together
The Rolling Stones - Tumbling Dice
Led Zeppelin - Rock and Roll
Yes - All Good People/Your Move
Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick (whole album)

These are my lists for today. They will definitely change.

No good MUSIC has come during this time. Just a buncha noise, mumble rap, shit that makes no sense, lyrics that are put together to rhyme vs making a song that can be understood and appreciated, etc
Same with movies. Except "The black phone" but that is for another topic.

Couple oldies I like are
Heard it through the Grapevine by Marvin Gaye
Love for all seasons by the Fuzz
I'd rather go blind by Etta James
Rap....
Welcome to the Ghetto by Spice1
Black Superman by
Above the Law
Rock ?
Alone Again by Dokken
Scorpions has good stuff too
Too many songs and artists to list when music was actually MUSIC. LMAO.

Estaban, this may put me in the center of the You know you are old when lawn. I went on a Los Angeles dance show called The Lloyd Thaxton Show back in the mid 60s. Do you remember it? It was sort of a West Coast American Bandstand type show. I was chosen in the crowd of kids to lip-sync Sunshine Superman on the show. My grandfather was watching it live at home and saw me lip-syncing but he thought it was actually me! He was a bit out of it by then, but he thought I was a TV star! It was sad but also a little cute. Those were fun times.

Awesome choices. I didn't start listening to classical or opera until recent years. Each year I'm enjoying classical music more and more. Thanks for sharing your good taste with us and providing the Youtube links.

Yes, I do remember that show. Sounds like an exciting experience. There were a few American Bandstand type shows on when I was a kid. Another one I remember was Hullabaloo.

I preferred the Don Kirshner's Rock Concert and Midnight Special type of format.

Was reading over the OP again, Llarry, where you said list your 5 and only 5, that more would make the thread cumbersome. I had written that would be difficult to do and have already added more than you asked. I have some more songs I'd like to put in here but won't do it if you don't want me to.

Esteban is working on his top hundred so I figured I'd better try to keep up... I already posted a sixth (Aase's death from Eduard Grieg's Peer Gynt suite) so here are four more to round out my top ten:

Beatles - I Don't Want to Spoil the Party

Tommy James & the Shondells - Crimson & Clover

Buddy Holly & the Crickets - Crying Waiting Hoping

Bob Diddley - You Can't Judge a Book by its Cover
