Miss my 08 G37S coupe RWD. Black on black, every option, modded with super concave staggered 20” wheel set up. Wasn’t very fast but was much better than the cars I owned prior.

It really is an amazing car isn't it? It just spoke to me like no other car has, cannot explain it, so won't even try. You get it though.

I owned and sold an F355, a 993, an LS400 and an E91, all of which I missed and replaced with the same.

I regret selling my C6Z. It was the best rendition of a corvette I've seen or driven and I don't think Chevy will ever make anything close to that again.

C6Z was the only car I ever bought new. I still prefer them to the C7 and C8.

I've owned a lot of cars over the years and have fond memories of the vast majority of them... even the ones that I kept for less than a full year. But a few stick out for various reasons:

2004 S2000 - it was my first car purchase after graduating from grad school and getting a "real" job. Daily drove it.

2009 Lexus ISF - I'm not sure if I've ever been more excited about a car purchase and can still vividly remember the day I bought it.

2008 Porsche 911 Turbo - I mostly regret selling this car because of the price I COULD have gotten if I had just kept it for a few more years. It wasn't the most exciting car to drive though.

2009 Porsche 911 C2 - this was actually my first Porsche and the "dream realized" moment as I always wanted a 911. This is the car that I should have never sold.

I still consider my current car (2022 M4 manual) as the best all-around car I've ever owned though, so if all my previous history led me here, I'm okay with that.

I'd say my favorite cars are the ones that I own right now but I miss my 2014 Raptor a LOT more than I thought I would. That thing was an absolute unit, reliable as hell and required very little modification to be pretty badass.

After that, I also do miss my GT500 from time to time. I prefer my '04 Cobra honestly because of how raw it is, but the GT500 was just so uncommon to see around. It sounded insanely good and was plenty quick with so little done to it.

I used to love watching a GT king of the road light up it’s tires on a drag strip at Tucson, AZ back in the day.

Lots of quick cars in this thread and I’ve had a good few of them. But a car that I loved in the UK and I got as a company car at the time was the first gen Lexus IS200.

Lovely straight 6, excellent gearbox and good handling up to 8/10ths so perfect for the road. But with 150bhp at the time could be driven within an inch of its life, sounded great and was great fun to drive. Now if I try to do the same in a few seconds I’m over the limit. I could thrash it and enjoy the drive without thinking I’m going to prison for one 10 second throttle prod. A lot to be said about that in ever faster cars so that gets it for me. Not the best car I’ve owned but one I had the most fun in.

I definitely miss my E36 and E46 M3's. Constantly on the look out for a well looked after 97-99 M3 coupe. Although the used market needs to cool off a bit.

My Miata... I want another one some day, but this time around I would be WAY more picky about the chassis. I would also not go the turbo route again. I would either K24Z swap it, or just keep it relatively stock with a header and exhaust, leave it on stock ECU. The whole built motor turbo thing got real old real quick. I did enjoy building the engine, putting the turbo on, redoing the wiring harness, flocking the dash, etc, but I wouldn't do it the same if I got to do it over.

really dont miss too many. most of my cars were upgrades. celica gts, e36 m3, e46 m3, f80 m3, r35 gtr. I do miss my 86 a bit.. it was fun to ring out on public roads. you could hammer it everywhere. but i dont miss the shitty build quality. I'd say i miss my 458 the most out of all of them... the ultra low seating position and ultra quick rack made you feel like you're in an f1 car. It had theater, engine on display behind you, interior smelled like expensive leather. The GT3 is better all around though and has a manual.

There's just nothing that BMW has made or will make that is a "reasonable" price. I still maintain that even now, they're a bargain for what they are.

Mine is gushing oil and still have to do VANOS preventative maintenance, but while I don't have time at the moment, I really don't have any desire to sell it. It's sitting at 91k miles (mostly previous owners) and it's a car I plan to keep for a long time. There's nothing more fun than that car with the top down in the fall in the mountains.

I miss my 135is with Dinan Stage 1 tune, but don’t miss the DCT it had that kept trying to kill me. I also miss my little Fiat 500 Abarth. It was cheap and fun despite some of its quirks.

My favorite car ever. Mild mods, even with the peg leg rear, I'd make mid-12 second passes over and over in it (22 one especially low attendance night at the track).

After the kiddo was born, the wife decided that I needed something more practical and easier to get an infant into and out of. So I came home with this:

ZCP. But after a couple of Indiana winters, along with the complete lack of entertaining roads in the midwest, I decided it was being wasted, and traded it for a 550i.

Returning to the M2 for a taste of both.

The One That Got Away

I made the mistake of selling my 1994 MKIV Toyota Supra Twin Turbo - (Red, Black Leather, Hard Top, Manual Getrag Box, Torsen diff). It was one of only 8 imported into the USA with a hard top and manual in red. I've regretted it ever since.. I almost cried as its new owner drove it down my driveway. It was before The Fast & The Furious movie franchise launched and well before MKIV Supra TT values sky rocketed. I shoulda' kept it!

Nevertheless, I needed the money to buy my E92 M3 (also Red). IMO the E9X M3 cars are "keepers" aka "forever" cars. You may regret selling a car with backseats for the family, the only M3 ever made with a V8, and with a resale value that keeps increasing year after year (perhaps with the exception of 2023).

MKIV Supra TT average sales value today ~$87K
https://www.classic.com/m/toyota/sup...en/twin-turbo/

Whereas the same data source for the E9X M3 shows the aggregated average sales values of ~$37K across all years and listings.
https://www.classic.com/m/bmw/3-seri...upe-automatic/

After awhile the kids grow up... But you'll still have the M3 which you can get in, open the windows, mash the throttle, and listen to the induction symphony.. It's a keeper.. BUT I do miss my Supra TT A LOT..
