Firefox for the win - but if you're an IE user and comfortable with it, any upgrade is always good from MS, they usually address massive security flaws and so on to make your net time safer.

I am a long time Firefox user my self. However as D_Chrome said any upgrade from MS is usually better then its previous.

There are some features I dig in IE8 like the ability to highlight a word on a web page and have the ability to do many things like instantly search google for that word of check the weather if its a city and the likes.

They also color code web pages when you open a link from a page in a new tab (Simple but effective)

So far its not bad, won't get me to change from Firefox, but its a step in the right direction for MS.

I'd hold off on IE8... I just read an article that there's a big new security hole. Someone was able to hack it in less than 5 minutes and take over a computer.

Well, IE does hold about a 65% to 70% market share (depending on whose numbers you use), so it is not surprise that as soon as a new version is released, it is attacked relentlessly by hackers to break it. Microsoft software is the most attacked software on the planet. That much focus is always going to highlight issues faster than any other company's product.

That can be a bad thing, but also a very good thing. If MS responds quickly and fixes the issues, then they have a much better product. The problem at times has been their response time.

I use both IE7 and Firefox3. I've been using FF3 more lately, as a few websites have been crashing IE7. I need to find a way to open new tabs faster in FF3. I like IE7's way of doing it, but I'm not familiar enough with FF3 yet to know the best shortcuts.

I'm not disputing the point that IE is more prevalent and draws more hackers. I was suggesting wait on upgrading to IE8 because of a new hole. They may have a fix for it shortly but no point in leaving yourself open unnecessarily.
