No exhaust noise. How can you possibly fun with a i4 vs a M440i
BMW will obviously pipe those beautiful and organic active sounds into the cockpit and then you can crank those speakers all the way up to make the Tesla next to you to be jealous that they don't have that sweet sound

It's probably part of the camo wrap. Although since they have to put "Electric test vehicle" on it anyway for safety reasons I'm not sure why bother, but I'd doubt a camo wrap would enrage anyone.
Sarcasm is a great thing. My point is that people get themselves all wound up over what they deem makes a bmw a great drivers car....manual, exhaust, in-line 6, natural aspiration, etc. Currently the posts claiming foul over the m340's "fake" exhaust is a great example.

Hope this is not as ugly as the I3. You have my interest BMW, don't ruin it with those huge beaver teeth front grills.

You should've bought BOTH!

The Tesla (charger) to J1772 (car) adapters are sort of "grey-market" adapters. Unlike the other way around, they are not real easy to find. Initially there was only one available from a small supplier. Now there are at least a couple. Not sure what Musk's take on these are...

Bitburger's last Summer, huh? That says a lot. A "Frau" from SoCal? I'm at a loss here... Give me a hint... (PM me if necessary)

how do we know this is not just a 430e?

If it debutes 2021, probably as a 2022 model year. Meh, too late.

Also, I have concerns about regular 3/4 series modified as EV. To have to compromise as ICE and EV simultaneously does not sound like a great idea. Teslas are designed from the get go as EVs. Same as Volvo Polestar 2. I love the BMW quintessential look as much as the next person, but I highly doubt it will compete well against Model 3. Too many compromises.

BMWs CLAR platform was designed to be used with both ICE and BEV configurations.

So how come you're not going with us north of the Arctic Circle in Feb for Ice Racing?

M4's with studded tires on a frozen lake in Arjeplog Sweden! Whats not to like?

Exactly, that's a compromise.

If and when BMW does release the i4 in hopefully 2 years, I hope it does not resemble the concept, or plaster the car with blue stickers everywhere.

The new photos contain enough evidence that G26 will indeed ride on the LWB platform like F34 did.

I'm curious about this. The G20 wheelbase of 112.2" is already longer than the F30's, so it could just be riding on that and it would look quite a bit bigger than the current F36. Or, as you said, it could actually be on a 116"-ish inch wheelbase of the LWB.

Either way, I really hope the G26 or some other G2x will use the B58 as part of a "performance" plug-in hybrid drivetrain. Do this and take my money BMW.

Should be interesting to see the final product (and grill), has a very similar body design to Audi's Sportbacks in that it looks to be a mix of a Gran Coupe and Gran Turismo (which I think BMW has been planning to mix both together), also noticed on the interior the door handle is much further forward than that of a G20 (just some minor differences).
