US lease estimate questions
Assuming a 68K price on a well equipped M3, what lease rates can we expect to see?
Would you lease though BMW or use and outside bank I've heard from my dealer that it would be over $1000 / months which does not add up. Furthermore, at $1000/month you could easily finance the car with a modest down payment and save significantly on interest. Just looking for perspective |

i think that there are too many variables in this equation to make even an educated guess. the 68 thousand might not be a bad guess, but how much down, how many months lease, etc? i'm just going to wait another month or two and get the real answer instead of speculating.

This is in South Florida... My point on this is simple: just wait until the M3 numbers are officially out and close pay attention on how the M3 is going to sell. The initial/expected Additional Dealer Markups (ADM) are going to make it worse to really appreciate what's really going on with the M3 numbers/volume of sales. From where I'm sitting, the M5, M6, and Z4 M in the USA are serious sale disappointments, to say the least. Maybe the M3 will be the exception, maybe not... wait and see, that's what I'm going to do. |

I've been wondering the same thing. I ordered Space Grey, Fox Red Novillo, 19's, Carbon Leather, iPod, and BMW Assist, and according to the Military Price pdf, the total came to $62,225. Now I plugged that final price into similarly priced cars on bmwusa.com (an X5 4.8 and a 550i), and the 36mo lease prices came to $916 and $943 respectively. Now should I expect to be paying something similar to this per month on the M3 or would the lease rates be much higher on the M3? I'm not too familiar with the history of lease rates from standard BMWs to M cars.
