Thumbs up ANDROID Users: Microsoft Just Made WINDOWS 10 Our Best Friend!

This is VERY exciting! I'm already using both and this integration is awesome!

The new Your Phone app lets you view texts and photos from your Android phone in Windows 10.
Microsoft just released an update for Windows 10.
The headlining feature is an app, called Your Phone, that lets you read your Android phone's text messages and view your Android phone's photos from your Windows 10 PC.
Sorry, iPhone users - for you, Your Phone only lets you send links to view on, uh, your phone. Microsoft promises that at least some more features for iPhone users are on the way.
Apple has similar integrations between its Mac and iPhone.
This is a big step for Microsoft toward embracing the smartphone with Windows 10, given that it doesn't have a viable phone operating system of its own.

You've been able to do this for a while with a browser and google photos.

Text Messages (Both send and receive): https://messages.android.com/

For photos, setup your phone to sync to Google Photos. Not really sure why you would need to be locked to a particular desktop when in android land.

This seems like a really cool feature. Not sure if I'll use it though.

You do realize that Windows and Androids are two completely different entities, right?

Never mind the HATERS bro. They missed the part about "ANDROID USERS" and the fact that these are 2 totally different Operating Systems.

And WINDOWS. Since the majority of iPhone users are on MACs.

It's fun to see Apple users gloat about their devices.

I'm really looking forward to Windows support for ray-tracing with the next update. Hopefully it will make my useless RTX card less useless.

Haha, it's nice that Apple can say that ever now and then. It is usually the other way around with phone features!!

People generally view Apple/iPhone vs. Windows/Non-iPhone. Being 2 different entities doesn't really matter as I am sure a lot of Android users have Windows like a lot of iPhone users have a Mac. The original post was worded in such a way to make it seem like reading your texts and stuff on your computer was something iPhone users couldn't do.

Have had this ability for years through apps like Join ... but this works really well and is very cool in its implementation.
