Yes, I obviously topped your post but the second part is wrong. Why would knowing about more interesting things than a C-130 looping make anyone smart or not smart? It's just what you've been exposed to. It should be obvious from my post history that I'm actually kind of an idiot, just very curious.
Anyway, thanks for the correction on the 707. I don't know that much about aviation, but I do know that a C-130 being looped really isn't a big deal. See the helicopter being looped. That is a big deal. |

Flying is flying and aerodynamics is aerodynamics. Thrust, drag, lift, yaw, roll, pitch, etc. don't care anything about the aircraft - the rules of aerodynamics don't change. If is irrelevant to you then that is fine.

This is pretty cool that a C-130 can do this too: C-130 USS Forrestal carrier landing/takeoff unassisted.

Definitely not an inside loop, but not a Cuban 8. Probably an oblique loop to reduce wing loading over the top.

That ain't nuthin' General Atomics flew their SkyGuardian aircraft from North Dakota to the UK without a pilot onboard nor with a chase place (24.2 hour flight) with appox 24 hours of fuel remaining.
Beat that manned aircraft shnizzles. |

Thanks that clip is awesome thanks anglo.....and given SakhirM4 has flown all the planes he listed I think that's awesome too and I imagine we all (in the U.S. - and probably some other countries that will never admit it) owe him some thanks too
