G29 Harman Kardon Retrofit

Hello everyone

Recently picked up a 2019 G29 that does not have Harman Kardon sound system.

And wondering how difficult or doable it is to retrofit? I seen the full set of speakers on eBay.

Has anyone done this? Any tips? Advice? Does the headunit need to be replaced or is it coding to enable Harman Kardon, equalizer?

I would not try to install the HK system, but instead get an aftermarket system with all the bells and whistles. If you do a search on the G29 forum, you will see what some of our members have done to improve their sound systems. 👍🏻

Thank you so very much. I did search but I did not have much luck.

Could or would you share some ideas about the after market options? And do you know if any of those require changes to the headunit? Interested in better understanding what bells and whistles would be available.

Go to the G29 forum and do a search simply using the word “Audio“.

I just did it and you will find that there are plenty of discussions on improving your sound system. 😉
