If the new 1 is coming soon after the 1M, it could be that production may switch over to the new chassis. And since the base chassis for this 1M is the current 1 series, once the switch occurs to the new one, the run for this one will have to end. Possible.

Maybe I can drive one before I buy, as Im worried about steering feel being lost in the new 1M vs the 08 135. |

The exclusivety is a great thing IMO but you can bet your bottom that US dealers are going to have a field day selling over invoice...

Hmmm, I like the sound of pulling to 7k. Bigger turbos?

Another review posted in a different thread states the new 1M does not pull to red line. And, that review says nothing about bigger turbo's.
And so we go on with the mysterious new 1M coupe with changing personalities. |

great job bmw, but still a stumpy, ugly car.
I'll take E90 M3 instead. |

The impressions coming across are very promising, but for one small thing said in the Autocar article, the price, originally we all were expecting it to come in about £7K more than a 135iM/Sport but if they are right about the figure now being £10K more and I don't doubt that they are, this is a serious price hike for the rather small increase in output and probably performance, meaning straightline performance guys. Other than that the exterior design tweaks have turn what was an ackward looking coupe into an aggressive and purposeful looking breast and looks alone have got to count for something ........... right?
