why do people block their license plate in pics online?
just wondering what problems showing your license plate can bring? I mean when you see a car on the street, you can see their plate anyway. Why is it a problem?

why? because i do a lot of group drives that can get "spirited" and i don't want pictures online to have something to trace back to me. for example, there are reports of speeding bmw's going thru some shit town in the middle of nowhere, cops find out, and they can check forums, they aren't stupid. not only that, but it's not expensive or hard to obtain anyone's full registration information....say mr. thief wants your ferrari and he has your plate number, what's stopping him from obtaining that information and stealing your car?

Yea a few people can see it on the street while you drive by... versus the whole internet seeing it and having a record of it? If you can't distinguish the difference between that... you have problems.
