Being in Walmart and the power goes out is sketchy
I went to Walmart and the power went out. Kind of creepy. This is after the emergency lights kicked on. Before they kicked on for like 20 seconds it was so dark you couldn't see your hand in front of your face!

Good point. It was 20-30 pitchback seconds. I doubt any security cameras night vision kicked on before the emergency lights kicked on.

Always know where the exits are and general layout of any store you go in. Never know why you might need this info.

I travelled to an underground phone switching site back in the late 1990's. It was designed with nuclear attack in mind and had the 3' thick blast door a couple stories down. It was storming and night time when I arrived. That door opens very slowly and closes very slowly, a bit unnerving. I was there about two hours when the power went out due to a tornado in the vicinity (Winter garden, FL). The whole place went very dark for a minute until the backup systems came fully online. Disturbing!

We have a Walmart about 5 miles away - they don’t take Apple Pay.

Which Walmart? Open carry in MD is bold.

Yeah the people I have seen OC are those that think they are special. it is never a tactical holster and a glock. It is always some rediculously long revolver style gun and a long holster like 8-12 inches long down their side like they are a wild west cowboy. they always look rediculous.

I avoid WalMart if at all possible, the closest one is notorious for shootings in the parking lot.

Another reason to stay away from Walmart. If you absolutely need something from Walmart, order online and have it delivered.
