Well, I certainly didn't expect to see PG get traded to the Clippers.

Speculation is Russ is likely going to end up in either Detroit or Miami. I'm actually OK with it, Russ/PG/Adams was never going to get us a ring. With PG gone and an aging Russ with a huge contract, get what you can for him and rebuild.

OKC got a haul for PG. Raps were not going to mortgage their future for another "star" to keep Kawhi in Toronto and make another run.

Hopefully Toronto takes a run at Giannis in 2 years. lol

Because the only way for the Raptors to get PG was going to be to take Westbrook as well. There weren't enough salary swaps and picks to make it happen.

Plus, it already seems pretty widely accepted that Presti was playing the Clippers against the Raptors to get as much as they did.

Leonard point blank told LA he wasn't going to sign without PG. So even though the players and picks went to OKC, the Clippers essentially locked in getting PG and Leonard for that trade.

Bradley Beal re-signs with the Wizards. One question: Why??? The franchise is in trouble with that Jon Wall contract....

I miss it too. Maybe I'm just being sentimental or biased because the it was the NBA of my adolescence, but I think it's fact that the 90s NBA had:

1. The best starting line ups
2. Best starting line up music (especially Bulls and Jazz)
3. Best broadcasting (NBC) and team (Peter Vescey, Hannah Storm, Ahmad Rashad)
4. Best theme music for NBA on NBC
5. Best distribution of talent EAST and WEST
6. By far the best, most collectible jerseys of any era

Are you kidding? Beal is fantastic. It's Wall and any others you want to get rid of.

Totally agree about Beal! I was thinking of it from his perspective. Wizards are a dumpster fire and hamstrung with regards to the salary cap/luxury tax because Wall is signed for so long and will never be the same. If I were in Beal's shoes, I couldn't wait to be free from the Wiz!

Metta World Peace is interested in the Knicks head coaching job. I would love for him to fill that role. Watching him coach, would probably be more fun to watch, than the Knicks basketball team.

I feel like echoing Obamaís slogan back in 2008:

We need change
Yes we can

However, the Knicks will always be the Knicks

I saw the spurs won a game last night. What a nice change of pace.......

And yes, I know, they been a good team for a long time. Actually, the most successful team in professional sports since 1980.

They are up there but IMHO not the most successful since 1980. While they have cinco championships the following have had equal or more:

NY Yankees - 5
NE Pats - 6
CHI Bulls - 6
Edmonton Oilers - 5
LA Fakerz - 10

Pop can’t even manage out of his way from a paper bag but I thank him for this whole load management crap. KL is a great player but for GOD sakes, play every damn game. I can see maybe a few nights a season for injuries but the guy is healthy right? I mean am I wrong? You want to be the best, show it every night. I mean honestly.

I don’t know why I continue to support this stupid team. Started following in 1992 and this is what I get:

1992 - Up 2-0 against the Bulls in the playoffs and then lose 4 straight.
1993 - John Starks dunk ignites all of NY but only to be crushed when Charles Smith, a 6-10 STATUE, gets stuffed 389 times in 5 seconds and can’t make a bucket. Knicks Dunn like Warrick.
1994 - John Starks 1-19 or some crap like that G7 against the Houston Sprockets. Knicks lose NBA Finals.
1995 - Ewing’s missed finger roll. I’m screaming WHY DIDN’T YOU DUNK THE DAMN BALL?!?!?!?!
1999 - Swept in the NBA Finals or lost in 5 games to the Spurs. Can’t remember but even if Ewing played we still would have gotten crushed.
2000-2009 - LOL what a joke.
2013 - had a well balanced team who could have made noise but lost in the 2nd round.
2014-Present - SHOOT ME

Ok that’s it I’m done.

Include regular season wins. No one else is even close. Pop was not the coach in 1980 or 1990.

IDK, regular season wins feels like participation trophy status. There are a few Cowboy fans here who have schooled me how many wins/accomplishments Tony Romo/Dak Prescott have with their stats and all but look the other way when I point out they have zero rings. Championships is what matters the most in sports right? For example, the NY Yankees had the most regular season wins 1980-1989 but had zero championships. Iím a Yankees fan to heart but Iím sorry, most regular season wins in that time frame means nothing to me.

Yes Iím well aware Pop wasnít the coach until the mid/late 90ís. Great coach and a first ballot HOFíer as winning five championships in a 20 year span is a great accomplishment.
