Crime is off the charts here. The car jackings are out of control. There were two a week apart within a mile of my house. Both were at gunpoint. There is no such thing as a good neighborhood anymore.

NYC is like the wild west. People randomly getting beat down, sucker punched and robbed. Dirtbags going into stores and doing smash and grabs; just taking what they want. I thought it was bad when I worked in NYC back in the early 80s. I just don't understand WTF has to happen before people wake up.

I'd invite you to move up here, but even in the sticks we have to deal with crackheads burning down our neighbor's house and killing him on occasion.

While I have always admired your common sense, and grasp of reality my friend, I am afraid that you are a bit behind the curve here. Perhaps it's your youth and innate sense of optimism, but from my seat the decline from common civility and decency passed the tipping point years ago. Though I won't be around, I truly fear for the generations to come. Could be the wine talking, but that only accounts for the post. Reality can be a bitch. Stay low, run serpentine, and chose your shots wisely.

I'm not sure either apply to me…..at all. Lol! I'm certainly not young and I'm rarely optimistic about anything.


My comment was based on the rather sharp decline since the end of 2019. Sure, decline has been steady for a long time, but 2020 signified decline at rapid speeds.

While this isn't directly related to law enforcement, there is an indirect correlation to rising crime that will occur as this becomes worse (…triggering more law enforcement response; a response that will inundate department resources even more than they already are).

I appreciate that, but I want focus on what is being reported. Just because information that is verifiable comes from a source sone may not like doesn't mean the information itself is without merit. The things currently happening all over Europe are troubling.

The problem is there is 0 self accountability anymore. The homeless / drug addict problem is off the charts here in Phoenix. I can't even go to the Circle K anymore a block away from my house because it's too dangerous.

I'm on Next Door and half of the people want to make excuses for these people...let them into your house and feed them if you care so much. Once we have kids I'm moving to a lake town or somewhere more isolated.

If that's what you're implying, that's on you. The Jon Stewart video just showed how vulnerable Carlson is, when he is called out. Getting back to the topic that started it all, yes, things are bad everywhere, and they are only going to get worse. What is bad enough, is that no politician, either left or right, is going to fix any of it either.

I think Tucker has a lot of good points, the problem that seems to be pervasive now is that it's become all black and white. I thought Trump was a boob, but that doesn't mean he never did anything good or accomplished anything. But he is so universally despised and dismissed that if he'd have cured cancer he would be blamed for putting cancer doctors out of work.

The re-fund the police rhetoric is only occurring because November is approaching. They've already shown us who they were. I don't believe for a single minute that they've miraculously done a legitimate and meaningful 180 degree pivot.

I would say most of anything that Trump did that was good was brought on by other people. Not his ideas. The criminal reform bill may have been one of the few. Did you get behind that?
