I haven't tried their chicken sandwich and don't frequent Chick-fil-A.

Why do you keep buying their sandwiches if you are spitting some of it out into the bag?

No, they came from a lab where they are loaded up with sodium.

I don't recall this the few times I ate there. I don't really care for them. The sandwich is fine, but I'm honestly not a big fast food chicken sandwich eater. Their nuggets are good, but they give me instant heart burn like nothing else so I don't eat those either anymore.

I recall service being good and everyone was super nice, but the food... meh.

I haven't had this experience before. Granted I don't eat Chick-fil-a frequently (and can't remember the last time I had food from there). But every time I do remember having it I don't recall any weird inconsistencies like you've described.

As to those saying they don't understand the hype behind it - I think where a lot of that hype stems from is residual feelings from a time when the crispy chicken sandwich wasn't so widely available (at least, it wasn't the focal point of the menu). Now you can get similar (and in many cases even better) crispy chicken sandwiches at pretty much any establishment that specializes in burgers/sandwiches. I do feel the hype has died down, but obviously there will be loyalists who eat what they like and are familiar with.

This makes sense. The last big hyped chicken sandwich was Popeyes, if I'm not mistaken. It's a pretty good sandwich imo.

Wendy's has been selling fried, chicken sandwiches (and spicy friend chicken sandwiches) since what, the 80s?

Yeah in my experience, when it comes to super hyped up food, the food rarely lives up to the hype.... even if it's great food, the hype will almost always overshadow it.

I think I remember hearing of a murder in a Popeyes line waiting for a chicken sandwich at the height of the hype. lol

Yes but that hasn't been the focal point nor has it been promoted heavily. Once these chains saw the success Chick-fil-a was having, they actually introduced sandwiches targeted specifically at competing with the Chick-fil-a chicken sandwich. I used to work in this industry and consulted for McDonald's as well as Chick-fil-a. I'm not in the industry anymore, but I recall at one point Chick-fil-a restaurants were outperforming McDonald's restaurants despite only offering chicken on their menu and only being open 6 days a week.

I don’t know, people always hyped the Capital Grille filet mignon and of the many many chain and Indy steakhouses I’ve been to, Capital Grolle probably has the best filet.

I don't know if that qualifies as super hyped up I mean like nationally acclaimed hype that you hear about in the news or goes viral in social media.

Like the Popeyes Chicken sandwich that had people committing crimes.

Lol I don’t know it is a good sandwich. Dave’s hot chicken sliders is where it’s at though. They’re expanding nationally so I’m looking forward to eating them locally.

We've had at least one Dave's Hot Chicken open up near us. I tried it and it's pretty good for sure.

Great now I'm craving a chicken sandwich.

This thread was supposed to confirm weird tasting parts of a Chick-fil-A sandwich and took on a life of its own. Glad it helped someone 👍

Kevin Hart is patently unfunny. His humor is yelling and over exaggerating. What is so funny about him?

The ‘champagne’ colored carpet they’re using at the Oscars tonight just looks like beige? What happened to the red carpet?

It is about cost and profit. The breast is cut in a way that leaves a thin area of meat which ends up with just the breading. They made the change about 2.5 yrs ago. I eat Chick-fil-A occasionally but mostly when I do not have a choice. Not really a fast food guy.

I am selfish though and eat animal products 2-3 meals per day. Vegans do not bother me but I don’t care what they think either. Odd conversation on the first page.

Was literally just thinking the same thing. But he’s a car guy at Hart, so he’s cool as far as I’m concerned.
