If you have a fear of CLOWNS... May want to not look below!

The original was actually very scary for it's time back in 1986 and still is creepy even today. But the remake I am sure will do one of Stephen Kings most terrifying stories some epic creepiness...

Quote:
Coulrophobia.

No need to look it up. It’s what you’re feeling right now. The unreasonable fear of clowns!

Maybe it’s not so unreasonable.

Look below and you’ll lay eyes on the first look at Pennywise the Dancing Clown from next year’s film adaptation of Stephen King’s It, with Bill Skarsgård taking on the role of the most fearsome creature to ever clutch a bouquet of balloons.

“It’s such an extreme character. Inhumane,” Skarsgård says. “It’s beyond even a sociopath, because he’s not even human. He’s not even a clown. I’m playing just one of the beings It creates.”

Anyone who’s turned the pages of King’s epic coming-of-age horror thriller knows this bloodthirsty funster isn’t your average psycho in grease paint. Pennywise is the favorite embodiment of a nameless, shapeless evil that dwells beneath a small town and feeds on the fear – and sometimes limbs – of children.

Another remake!!!

As much as I love SK, it seems that is the thing. Reboots and remakes. Not always a good thing.

Love the original BTW.

I am a huge movie buff (no surprise) and while I agree that some remakes can F things up, others, especially iconic type movies from past generations deserve remakes so a "new generation" can experience a great story!

Not to mention... Technology is light years ahead from the 80's. That in itself can make the original even better if done correctly.

I would agree with the exception of Star Wars...The first three were overdone and the originals just had something about them due to the use of models. Sometime CGI or other methods come across as fake.

Some remakes, I agree are well done and refreshing.

I just recently recorded It from IFC or something and watched for first time. Missed It2.

It's troubling, there was no way the remake of The Shining even came close to Jack, Shelley, and Catman

I didn't even know I feared clowns until one day, running a fever of about 105, I was admitted to the hospital. It just so happened that it was Halloween. Guess what my nurse was wearing? (No, not the CandyStriper one). Apparently, I freaked and got some morphine for my troubles.

I remember watching the thing about 20 years ago as a kid. I was kinda scared in the beginning, but i kinda laughed my way through. Now killer clowns from outer space gave me nightmares for years, and that shit was retarded.

Funny how a movie can trigger something as a kid and you're scarred for life. My fear of clowns began with Poltergeist (thanks sis!). That toy clown haunted me so bad that even going to the bathroom at night was out of the question, let alone sleeping in the dark.

Been terrified of them ever since. So, as much as I loved the book It, I don't think I can make myself see this remake.

I am following this epic remake very closely and the director and producers promise it will "care the shit out of you!"

My boys 11 & 9 generally are ok with Horror (the younger more so) but they are both hesitant for this particular film.

Will watch to pay homage to the original. I typically don't care for remakes but this looks promising.

One of my favorite books of all time.

Can't wait to see the movie.

I didn't see the original movie, most people have said it's no good.
