That sounds delicious. There's a yearly L.A. County Fair by me that comes in September (I believe) that deep fries just about everything edible you can think of.

Some of it's pretty good. Just not something you'd want to eat everyday. Once a year at the fair is perfectly fine.

Why do Mallards rest with their head turned around and beak tucked under their wing?

Wind resistance?
Warm breath keeps them warmer?
Their wing-pits smell that good?

Why adherents to particular religions believe ALL other religions are wrong or cults but fail to see the exact same illogical nature of their own beliefs?
I’m watching the new Netflix docuseries on the JMS cult and it yes it’s creepier than other religions but then I think, Catholic priests abuse little boys, Kenneth Copeland, Jesse Duplantis have private planes and don’t fly in “tubes full of demons”, other religions call for beheadings and public caning.
I mean seriously pot calling the kettle black.

To be fair... abusing little boys, beheadings and public canings have nothing to do with those religions... those are just corrupt individuals abusing a position of power while using the veil of religion to mask their true selves.

Same for the other cult I’m watching about. Grifters and liars are at the head of all religions, for different reasons, susually abuse or money. That’s why we have Scientology or Joel Osteen or Warren Jeffs. In principle, the teachings of the Bible are good. But just the Bible could’ve been written by Scientologists of its time. Guess we’ll never know but crazy things people do in the name of religion.

False equivalent my friend.

As of 2015, the Guinness Book of World Records estimated that the Bible is the best-selling religious book of all time and the best-selling book overall.

It is estimated that between 5 and 7 billion copies of the Bible have been sold.

The number of bibles sold on average has more than doubled in the US since 1950 with:
20 million bibles sold each year
1.66 million bibles sold each month
384,615 bibles sold per week
54,945 bibles sold every day
2,289 bibles sold per hour
38 bibles sold per minute
6.4 bibles sold every 10 seconds
In addition to the bibles sold, another 115,055 bibles are given away or distributed every day
The US accounts for a quarter of newly printed bible sales every year

Sure, sir, definitely not saying it’s not a popular religion, or the most adhered to, just questioning the source of its authority. But I certainly don’t want to limit that just to Christianity, I’m questioning the source of athouority for all religions. All of our perspectives will be validated after we’re underground, so none of us will be able to come back and say told you so.

Jesus > religion

Wrestling with the authority of God is something all humans do right up until they choose to surrender their hearts to God - freely. Freely is the beautiful but humbling part - the choice is ours.
