Yea the chipping at the corners due to the prongs on the setting was the info I kept running into as well. The stone has excellent proportions at least, so I should be as safe as I can be on that front hopefully. If not, I'm for sure getting insured based on the earlier responses. Coincidentally, I'm also going with a tri-stone setting (pear setting stones), currently in design phase

There is never any logic when it comes to weapons. Some have a morbid fascination and others an irrational fear. The rest of us must accept that discussion has to be restrained to particular areas so as not to feed either group.

I was hoping it was bigger. We have a built in on our deck that we don't use, and my wife thought it would fit perfectly. If we planned on staying in this house, I'd have a mason come over and build one into the space
