My 1st BMW was a 1987 E24 M6, heavy as can be but just a joy to drive on the highway, in fact the faster you drove the better it handled.
Unfortunately, the electrical/electronic glitches plagued the car to the point I had to get rid of it.

2006 330i. Very early E90. Ordered October 2005, delivered mid-February 2006. Premium, Sport, 6MT, no iDrive, Logic7 sound, sunroof, comfort access (first year in the 3). She was a great car. Such a clean, simple, modernized interior. Exterior styling took a while to grow on me as it was tough too top the might E46, but I came around.

My first was a black 1994 E34, manual, tan interior. Sadly, it did not last one week. It literally self-destructed with electrical issues. Worked with the dealer and was able to pick up a new Orientblau '95 E34, manual trans, gray leather, beautiful car. Since then, it's been an E36, a Land Rover (when it was owned by BMW), a MINI, an E85 M Roadster, an E88 and now an E82.
It was an interesting period when BMW bought the former British Leyland brands to acquire AWD technology and the MINI rights. I won't go into all the MG's I've owned over the years... |

My first and favorite: 2005 E46 325xi. Photo is from 2008 maybe? I still love this car but it had a ton of problems...

My first was a F32, unfortunately had to sell it.
Happy to be getting another BMW. My G82 is setting at the port in Germany, hopefully it will ship soon. |

Just bought my first BMW and first German car ever last week - 2009 Z4 30i 6 speed manual (only 13k miles). I’ve stayed away from BMW’s due to worries about potentially high repair bills but I’m loving it!

I've bought my first one this year, F20 118d 2015. (B47). But lately my driving habits have turned to relatively short, city drives and I'm starting to worry about clogging up this diesel engine so I'm thinking about upgrading to a 3 series petrol in the next year or so.
