Tinder has been on fire lately.

I just logged on after not being active for a week and have accumulated 3 matches. Going to try and set something up for this weekend again, but TA girl still wants to hang out. Not sure how I feel about developing a relationship with someone 9 years older than me, but we will see how bored I get this weekend, lol.

and i got to see a very cool custom small block chevy v8 AND i got permission to use his garage+tools to work on my car. at this point its starting to become a trend of find girl - meet dad - become friends with dad - be more sad to break stuff off with him than with the girl

Oh boy, the last time I “willingly” met a chick’s Dad, I got invited to a family cookout the next day. Never did make it, but I bet he cooked a mean hamburger, kind of regret not going.

Lol......I've done that so many times I have forgotten about it.

One girl....the first time I picked her up...her dad was working on an old muscle car. When I pulled u,p, he was trying to start it.

I literally walked right past her to him and the car, and we had it running in 5 minutes as he had the firing order wrong.

I think I took her out twice.

Well, uncle this time. Her dad passed before she was born and mom is based out of Indy, so she's staying at her uncle's place while working in Chicago. I know her from school, she graduated in December. She was dating another dude back then but she was cool so we struck it out as friends; turned out she lives 15 mins from where I work.

Plan was to "teach her how to shop" for healthy food (I started taking better care of myself during quarantine), so I also knocked out my shopping while I was out. On the way back being a great gentleman I had to help her carry stuff into her place, and... you can figure out the rest

Plus at this point I'm actually in to meeting the dads. Kind of amazing how so many cool guys end up having bland as fuck daughters though

So I start talking to this guy, he was using some compound to remove the cloud from his headlights. I was watching a video on it a few nights before so I started talking to him about what sort of compound to use etc. Foot in the door, so he was like "let me show you around the garage". There was a super clean 318ti, the E36 hatchbacks. 18k miles on it too the guy was very proud of it. He also refurbed tools in his free time, and gave me a WW2 era wrench as a souvenir.

She was really fucking hot too, and it was going too well until she slapped me across the face and asked if that turned me on. Idk if thats you guys' thing, but sure as shit it did not turn me on.

Pickle you can do it, I quit like 4 years ago. I'd be lying if I said I haven't smoked a random few cigs since then, but it's on very rare occasions I'll have one.

that sounds more like a cigar meal imo, the duck and black rice has such a rich and complex flavour profile you wouldn't want to smoke some newports after that.

question for you - would you go with a gravy on that or a light vinaigrette?

eh it's day 40 of no nicotine I think I'm mostly in the clear. not wheezing in the morning like a 80 year old guy is pretty comfy.

me quitting is more related to dropping the habit and addiction, i don't think im ok with giving up cigars. i very rarely enjoy one, especially if it's warm out and i can sit in the back yard with some light work / book and some espresso.
