Bav Auto Show-N-Shine Connecticut Caravan
i'm setting up a cruise to the Bavarian Autosport Show n' Shine event on the 7th of October.
Ok so the plan as of right now is to have everyone meet up in the commuter lot off of exit 70 on I-95 in Old Lyme at about 5 AM and leave there to meet up with the Mass caravan at 6:45 AM then head up to Bav Auto from there. if anyone has anything else to add, or wants to meet up with us somewhere, let me know via PM or here. link to the massachussetts caravan thread- http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...d.php?t=827343 here's the route as of right now. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=e...3,1.521606&z=9 1. Hmm. You guys are headed right up 93. Maybe I could just get your cell phone number, and you could give me a call when you get a to a certain point, and I'll be on standby and jump out on to the highway, and drive up there with you guys..

Just saw your route btw. I really don't think you want to take route 1 from Boston up there. I would stay straight on 93, and then hit up 495 or 95. Route 1 is terrible IMO, I hate that road with a passion, as does my car/wheels. Staying 93 will be a lot smoother, faster, for you..

5 extra miles, but I gaurantee you will save tons of time in the long run. And wheels.
Just so it's clear what I'm saying.. Stay straight on 93 thru Boston (the big dig). Go straight to exit 37, which puts you on 95 going east. Stay straight on 95 and you will run into your old route. Much easier IMO..

I could probably meet up with you guys in Danvers just passed the 128/95 split. There's a Lowes right off of 95.
Anyone else on the North Shore want to meet up there and then join up with the rest of the gang? Josh, maybe you could give me a call just before you guys get to the split?

I'm North of Boston so that would be out of the way for me.

it looks like the bristol place shopping plaza is actually just over the MA border. the address is Bristol Place Shopping Center, Rt. 1A & I-95, South Attleboro MA
ok....if we leave the lot in old lyme at 5 sharp, according to google it will take 1 hour & 20 minutes to get to exit 2a (the shopping plaza) and 33 minutes from there to get to the metting place in MA. if this is correct, we will be at the first stop at 6:20 AM (where we are meeting the others from CT) and the second stop at 7:50. this will give us some time for rest when we reach the second caravan for a 7:15 departure. so here's the timeline 4:45-5 AM meet up in the commuter lot just off of exit 70 on I-95 5:00 AM leave the lot and drive up to Bristol Place Shopping Center, Rt. 1A & I-95, South Attleboro MA 6:20 AM meet up with the rest of the CT crew and leave imediately 7:50 AM arrive at 250 Granite St Braintree, MA to meet up with everyone else 7:15 AM leave Braintree with the whole caravan and drive up to bav auto at 275 Constitution Ave, Portsmouth NH 8:40 AM arrive at Bav Auto in time for breakfast Map of the Route 177 mi – about 3 hours 17 mins Driving Time, 3 hours, 40 Minutes to Destination. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=e...=UTF8&z=8&om=1 |

^^Don't forget to avoid route 1. Stay on 93 north through Boston, take a right turn on 128/95 at exit 37.
Anothony - You still interested in this? If so, let's meet up somewhere and we can join the pack when they drive by/call us at a certain exit..

One thing for everyone to note, because of the holiday you can count on more speed traps. In MA once you pass the 128/95 split in Peabody, they like to sit in the Median under the over passes.
If anyone else knows of other locations you may want to post them. Of course we'll all be driving the speed limit, so no worries
