Hassel BMW "Certified Collision Center" Messed My Car Up a SECOND TIME

The Manager of the shop ED C. tried to make good after the initial fiasco (see

previous post), so I gave them a second chance... BUT the job is SLOPPY,

THIRD RATE & completely unacceptable:

FISH EYES (Less then before but still there)

Haze and Residue all over my laminated wood interior.

Interior door panel not aligned correctly.

Overspray all over drivers side of windshield.

Texture of the clear coat not consistent.

Did not have wheels re-finished as promised.

The main SA, Tom C. is a Huckster who should be selling

Aluminum siding.

The only this "Certified" about this shop is that they are Certified incompetent

hacks.

DO NOT GO THERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES !!

This is exactly why I say the word "certified" is over-rated, especially at dealers.

Make them pay to get the repairs done elsewhere. Find a local bodyshop that will take their time with the car.

It actually had fisheyes in it? And actually let it leave like that? Ridiculous. I don't even get fisheyes, and i've been painting with my dad for just under 2 years now.

Documents as much as you can, have it fixed somewhere else, threaten to Sue them for the proper repair costs. Bodyshops are usually too busy and end up doing half asses work, usually fish eyes show up when the car was not painted in the spraybooth or it was too cold to paint. I do agree that this is unacceptable.

Call BMW North America. They get stuff resolved in about 48 hours.

my experience with the local certified BMW shop is about the same as yours. WIll never go there again. After they fixed my car (and seeing how bad it was for a minor break-in damage), I sold the car. Since then, I found a reputable independent body shop that exceeds my expectations.

I was thinking about doing this... I thought that as a rule, they stay out of Dealership issues.
Do you have any personal experience with dealing with them ? If so, how did you go about it and whom did you speak with ?

Thanks,

Joseph

Selling the car is NOT an option. Besides, this was just paint damage NO body work.

Are you able to bring it north of the border to Maranello BMW (certified collision center for BMW and the only Ferrari/Maserati certified center in Canada) Just got my car back from there on Friday and was surprised to find they buffed/waxed the entire car and detailed my interior. All the loose change they found under the seats ended up in my ash tray, along with a pen. They even buffed out my headlights which were yellowing. All this from a small rear-end collision that required the bumper to be replaced.

My only complaint was that they sprayed my trunk too, but there were some small dents on the top of it that they didn't pop out / bondo smooth. Not a big deal, no one would notice except me... but still.
