Idrive opening iPhone apps automatically when connected

Hi guys

After doing the latest ios 10.3.1 update, as soon as I plug my iPhone into usb, idrive opens multiple apps automatically - Spotify, m lap timer, BMW connected, etc. basically my phone goes nuts opening every app idrive supports and stops playing anything I had on

Has anyone else experienced this, I can't work out how to turn this auto open off

Yes, it's pretty annoying. Would love to know if others have solved it. At this point I've removed all BMW apps from my phone (dumb solution but all I've got so far).
