Finished up w/ the front, exterior doorway by re-caulking around some areas. I had cleaned and re-painted it last weekend so it should be good to go.
I'm deciding whether to do a final mow. I mean, the grass isn't that long. Is there a maximum height it should be?
There are different schools of thought on how high/low to cut it. Personally, I'd say 3-ish inches for cool season grass. Ultimately, you don't want it too tall since it'll just get matted and trap excess moisture. That can make it more condusive for various molds/diseases to grow ("snow mold"). Too short and the crowns are less insulated. It'll all become evident towards spring when you find out how much raking out of your yard is needed.

I've never done a winterizer application before so I'm just trying it out. I'm going w/ a urea based Nitrogen instead of my usual organic blend. It 'seems to be' what gets used for this. Since it is urea-based, it is cheap. The added potassium is just bonus.

In the past, I've tried applying a fungicide before the grass goes dormant but wasn't sure if I noticed any effect. I'm going w/o it this time due to cost and just to see what happens. I tend to get undiluted powder and granules in a larger size vs the big box store stuff which helps out cost-wise but it still adds up fast for a 32-33k sq ft yard. I alternate between Azoxystrobin and Propiconazole.

Making a batch of spaghetti sauce for pasta night with the girls. Should be ready in about three hours. Probably making cheese and garlic bread later.

Dropped 7 Kinkade ceramics and one Einstein print for framing. Picked up some Ugg bedspreads. Making slow inroads towards Christmas

Went looking for basic black bar stools for the oldest. $400????????

You poor bastard. I have nothing but man sympathy for you. Unfortunately, I too will be braving the treacheries of winter solstice holiday commerce as well. fortunately I will be going alone, this makes it much faster and easier. I expect I'll be done in less than an hour.

It doesnt bother me much. Our mall has some decent sit down restaurants. We usually go have a few glasses of wine before we head in. Most of the stores are higher end so theres not a lot of riff raff however there will be a plethora of screaming children looking for pictures with Santa and the newest X-Box

Will be signing docs for a new to me '13 F30 335 (fully loaded & don't think it's missing any specs) to replace my F10. Sadly couldn't find a manual that would work, but need a car (went to drive a manual only to find out that 2nd gear didn't work).

The F30 is in the shop to get $2900 in repairs done (module replacement, sensors, etc) - hence why you should always PPI.

Then headed to the in-laws for the night for an early Xmas, since I'll be headed home to Nashville on Wed. to be with my family
