That's one fancy looking cowboy bar. I gotta be honest though - I have bad luck on horses.

I'd somehow fall off that barstool just because it's shaped like a fucking saddle. Horses and I just do not mesh.

Incident #1 - Was a kid, at the zoo and it was the pony rides. Boring, slow trot as the zoo employee (teenager) walks the horse around again, super slowly. Don't know what I watched before hand but I clicked my heels and said - giddiyup. Well, that pony took off and I held on for my life. The zoo employees finally corralled us both.

Incident #2 - A decade or two has passed. I am now in my 20's. We take a trip down to Mexico with the females, they of course want to go horseback riding on the beach in Porto Vallarta like all the other gringo tourists do. I figure, I've been riding motorcycles now for quite some years, how difficult can a fucking horse be. Yeah well nobody told me I'm not supposed to bounce up and down in the seat like a fucking bobble head. I didn't know I was supposed to RISE UP using the stirrups. I had an ice pack on my balls for a day and a half.

I'm not even gonna get into incident #3 cuz it was recent but point is, I'm done with horses. Off to the glue factory!!!

This is a painting hanging in my home of my boys. My MIL painted it. We were exactly on that spot.

Yep! If that! We had a family/timeshare condo at that location for about 15 years. Every 7 weeks was our turn. Also, I had a sailboat in the O-side harbor for almost 5 years. I know it very well.

I always enjoyed it around there. Good weather, good food. Plus, feels safe. 80% marines lmao. It's THE place to be in the event of an attack.

Agreed! God bless our men and women at Pendleton! I will say, early 80's around there were a bit different. The city got it together and is a wonderful place now. Ever go to the purple palace? Oh my.....
