Im a bigger fan of Matte Black, so I would say go with Matte Black, but I think the CF is a great addition if you pull it off right

Those would be great on AW or silver with the carbon fiber roof - get the matching cf roundels and you'd be good to go...black not so much I think...

I got my 1x1 weave CF grills from JL Motoring...been a little over a month since installing and I don't have any bubbles...yet.

With all the reports of pitting and bubbling, sounds like there are production issues and flaws. Have the vendors of the CF grilles offered replacement when this occurs or is it caveat emptor ???

Doesn't make sense that the 2x2 weave has fewer problems than 1x1 (suggests theres more of the 1x1 sold to posters on this forum). I just dont like the idea of having to replace these every 6 months. I do hate the OEM chrome - but at least it isn't bubbling.

Was afraid of that. I guess the silence from vendor reps regarding any warranty speaks volumes.

Too bad. I had hope the CF grilles would be the best solution to the sorry stock chrome (glossy black finish may be over the top; matte black is a bit too flat for my taste but a viable alternative. Black chrome finish would be best but haven't seen these anywhere).

Hey skoot3r - I see from sig you have glossy black grilles. I have been worried about how this may look. What is your HO on this?

when i bought mine, i had the body shop spray a few extra layers of clear polyurethane resin over it. It will extend the life of the carbon wrapped product
