Some tear down photos. Actually surprised how clean the factory paint is after I clean it. I will not be re spraying the interior or engine bay.

Lol no way. Not shaving or tucking. Just a tucked engine harness. I want it to look OEM, with a little more modern twist

I approve of this

Sometimes I wish I can get back behind the wheel of a high revving VTEC to remember what it was like. Had an RSX-S back in the day, will always remember my first drive home.

Pandemic must be doing it's magic on people because this is the 3rd Civic build I've seen these last few months.

What made you go B16B over a B18C? I, honestly, do not know enough about Honda to have a real preference.

I was honestly torn.

But the B16b was only available in this chassis in Japan, so I wanted to keep it sort of specific.

Plus the B16b uses the B18c block, just has a shorter stroke. So I could technically change the internals and have a B18c

I didn't know the B16B uses the B18C block. Dang! That motor really is a wonder engine as they called it as such back then. Good luck with your build.

Received my wiring harness today. Waiting on a clutch and motor mounts and I think I can install the engine!

Put the first coat of high heat paint on.

Usually I'm not a fan of painting engines. But this makes it look brand new!

I am replacing the oil pan and valve cover.
