Any drone videos of your car?
Found this old video I did with my NSX when I got my DJi Phantom 4K a couple years ago that I posted on NSXprime.com
Man, i gotta get back into flying again.....for some reason I just don't use the thing much anymore. Gonna do one with the F32 next. They are pretty cool tech....anybody else on here mess around with these UAV's? Lets see some vids!!! Here is my first video I made with my Phantom using my old GoPro movie maker software Last edited by Socal_R8; 05-12-2019 at 10:35 PM.. |

Gah! The video looks awesome. Every six months I almost buy a 4k drone. I always stop myself though, because I feel like I could use it for a week and then put it away form months like every other damn thing I buy. Haha

IMO shooting drone footages of cars doesn't yield unique shots. Most shots are repetitive. I think where it comes handy is if you can shoot on a track. Got some crazy good footages from my bali trip and I used up all of my 64gb Sd card.
Just tried the ND filters on my spark and WOW I'm very impressed with the picture quality. Last edited by R3dliner; 05-13-2019 at 01:22 PM.. |

Man, stop! You're killing me. The last time I almost bought one was for my hawaii trip last year. I'm going back in November. Please stop attacking my wallet.

I think drones and cars are better used together when the car is actually moving like a track or autocross event. That way, your subject (the cars) are always in focus and never too far away from the viewer. You can't beat the cinematography from that unless you're in a helicopter.
If the car is parked then you're better off using a DSLR (for photos and videos in some cases) or a nice video camera, IMO. 75% of the drone footage above (not the OPs video) could have been done without a drone. And the parts of the video that were obviously shot by a drone were either way up in the sky or quite far away from the the car itself which makes it hard to show off the car or any details someone may be wanting to see. With that being said, the drone videos posted above are super cool and are very nicely done. It's just tricky when you have a stationary subject and shooting with a drone because you have to be conscious not to maneuver too far away from your subject or else you'll reach a certain point or distance where the subject becomes irrelevant because the viewer cannot see it as intended. All in all, drones are fun to play around with and combing them with another love- cars, gives you a nice combination!
