I was working on an application to create compatible routes for the NBT navigation system when I discovered that the basic free version of Tyre already saves routes in BMW Format. (File -> Save As...)

All you need to do is copy the resulting <routename>.tar.gz file into two places and import to the car.

1. BMWData/Nav/<routename>.tar.gz
2. BMWData/Navigation/Routes/<routename>.tar.gz

This is of course if you have the options coded for importing routes.

Yes. It's pretty nice. There is a limit of how many waypoints you can have in the route though. I think it's 30


Wonder wth do this features come coded out by default

Cool! Although I actually like the idea of letting the nav itself gen the route... since it's getting real time traffic... so I'm using send-to-car stuff, either online (google maps) or using an app on ios

yes but that doesn't work when you are in a car tour where you want to take a specific route

Fair. For MINI I believe they released an app to coordinate cars driving in a group...I don't think it shared nav points but you would see everyone on a map.
