I have a 2014 13" MBP that runs like it did when I first bought it. Will be keeping mine too and when it dies I will buy another one.

PS - would also like to know why you're returning the new one? Did not perform like you thought?

It randomly shuts off. When I say random I mean it may work fine for a week or two or it has shut off three times in 15 minutes. When it does shut off it will start back up after about a two minute rest and reopen to exactly where it was, even in the middle of a video, and continue on as if it were a soccer player that was just rolling around on the ground a minute ago.
In the last 3 years, on my 15" Mid 2012 MacBook Pro, thanks to Youtube and Amazon low cost, I changed the Memory, installed an SSD Hard Drive and the Track Pad for less than $200. Hopefully it will last a few more years.

Have not done anything to mine. Maybe it's not old enough and the time will come to replace parts. Honestly would rather do that than buy another one, but like I said above, will buy a new one when need be. Very happy with mine so far.

I've changed the memory, installed a 1tb SSD and replaced the battery all within the last year. Something in there is not happy and it's to the point that I can't trust it. I hope you have better luck with yours.

I changed from a 2015 Macbook Pro to a Macbook Pro 14" for one reason. Battery life.

Worth every penny. Last laptop if I sat and watched a football game and surfed the net would run the battery down very close to end of game. This one isn't even halfway discharged.

And the new Apple chips are WAYYYYYYY faster.

Somebody else here mentioned the Apple chips were faster. If I remember right it was M_Six.

Guess we have something to look forward to.

Agree, it must be at the end of its life as it has to be pluged in at least twice a day but I'm not taking it out house so it's fine for now.

Replacement for the previous bought (and resent) one, which wasnt be able to loose 8 out of 20 bolts, no one was tighter torqued than 140NM.
This one should do it.

New camera straps! The neck strap is padded and the edges are hand rolled. Super soft and comfy right out of the box. The smell of leather is also a plus.
