Thinking of selling my old 525i
Hey everyone, I'm not on these e39 forums anymore but I still have my old 2003 525i m-sport, and I'm looking to sell it. I have no idea what it would be worth in its condition (engine is not in the car, it broke 4 years ago and has been sitting apart ever since)
It still has all 4 wheels, full interior/exterior, and all the pieces to put it back together. What would something like that be worth? I know the e39 chassis value has been on the rise lately, for running examples, does anyone have an idea of what this could be worth? I can add some pictures and the vin number here if anyone can shed some light on this!

For a non-running example it's hard to tell… it depends on the condition of the body but I'm not sure it could sell for much even if it's a mint car. Putting the engine back in it could quadruple its worth, who knows!

That's what I was thinking too, I just have no time to get that thing in my garage and take a look to see what's wrong. But, if it could possibly quadruple the value then I may as well get off my butt and throw some elbow grease into that thing 😂

I just sold my 2000 fire engine red E39 sport wagon (no chrome just red with black trim) I had her since 2002, with 212,000 miles on her and she was still going strong!!!! I miss her.

I'd have to go back out and take a look at it to be 100% sure. But I'd imagine no, the car has never left California haha 😂
