Holy Crap
So looking at some of this info is a bit overwhelming. So to start I have an e92 with option 677 (Hifi System Professional) now it sounds like one of my door speakers is blown. What options do I have to replace it? I don't want to spend a super lot of money since it's my daily driver but with that the blown sound is terrible. I know there is a lot of information and trying to sift through it all is overwhelming as Sound isn't my strong suit. any one mind helping out?

Are you planning on doing any audio upgrades at any time, now or future?
That might help others figure out a best way forward for you. If no, I suppose trying to find another OEM speaker from someone who had upgraded theirs may be a decent option, or replacing both sides with a new set (that will fit your car, not a typical speaker size, but options exist)

You probably can find a used speaker
You probably can find a used speaker
and pop it in . Taking the panels off these is pretty easy after you get over the oh my god its a BMW syndrome. http://www.bimmerdiy.com/dir/e90 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...DIY+door+panel Look at the buy and sell boards here and on ebay for and L7 speaker. If its your amp you will have to send it to somebody unless you a skilled at electronics repair. Last edited by ctuna; 11-02-2015 at 06:33 PM.. |

I think it's just the passenger side door speaker, I mean I want something that can drop right in and not have to worry about needing a new amp or anything. What aftermarket options are there for it?

There is a an MB Quart plug and play kit that is cheap.

http://www.amazon.com/MB-Quart-QM200.../dp/B00FA9BZLE It also replaces the front under seats. I have seen it as low as 225 at other places on the net. There are many three way plug and play kits like this now the ones most favored here run 600 plus and require aftermarket amps to really sing. |

They probably are better under seats.

You can buy individual door stuff but you mentioned budjet . Most of the stuff that you can buy that way, is expensive and requires and aftermarket amp to power properly. There is likly to be a mismatch in volume between aftermarkets and the OEM speakers and I don't believe you have that much control over individual speaker volume on a L7 system. But I don't have one. There is a speaker list in the audio build thread . Some people go with BSW on these as they are designed for this setup. Last edited by ctuna; 11-03-2015 at 11:42 AM.. |

I agree with the last statement and was kind of
hinting at it. You are stepping into the mud with aftermarkets so unless you are willing to get totally muddy don't do it. |

Ok let me rephrase. I don't want to have to replace all my speakers and add amps and go crazy I'm not an audiophile just don't want to hear a blown speaker. I have the ability to cut splice and turn wrenches I would just rather keep the car as simplistic as possible this is my daily that I put at least 100 miles a day in doesn't need the best banging system

No chance you have the underseat sub enclosures is there? That's what I need. My subs are glued in and I would rather not have to buy a heat gun to try to get them out.

Op has a L7 sytem he said which is the Best Bmw supplys.
And it has better speakers than the other two systems. So I would try to find another L7 speaker just like the one that came out to matich it with the rest of the system . And in the case of the L7 and Hi Fi underseats they are 8 inch and they are screwed in and not glued. |
